It is not soapy or sudsy, but really does the trick of eliminating stains. Sometimes it might take a few days but the stains magically disappear. I have also used it in conjunction with steam cleaning and it works beautifully. I steam clean only with water since I find once you use carpet shampoo, the soap residue attracts dirt and compounds the problem in the future. This stuff is so hard to find. I have bought it from here in desperation, but if you can, look at a nearby carpet dealer who sells Mohawk carpets.
