Highly recommend this for dogs with sensitive skin. I’ve used it for both of my dogs, and one container lasts a long time. Their fur was dry, brittle, and broke off easily before using this. Just keep in mind that results aren’t overnight — it took about 6 months for me to really notice a difference, but their coats became much healthier and softer over time.

I have been a German Shepherd owner and avid dog lover and trainer for over 30 years. I bought my first dog right out of high school. It wasn't until recently that I learned that hip displasia was NOT the only debilitating condition that plaques particularly German Shepherds (and many other breeds as well, particularly large breeds). It dawned on me as I began seeing the dreaded signs of difficulty standing, rear feet dragging (knuckling) a bit here and there on a German Shepherd of mine that I know for a fact has perfect hips, no hip displasia whatsoever. I have her x-rays on hand to prove it. That's when I found out about Degenerative Myolopathy (DM). To date, there is no cure. No. Did it back the condition off and help her regain her strength and resiliance? YES, YES, YES!!!! She even chases and plays with my 3-Year Old German Shepherd again. I have, to date, recommended it to 5 others with older dogs showing the same hip weakening conditions and ALL FIVE reported the same astonishing results. I love this product! I bought it after reading all the positive reviews. I have two dogs - an aussie and a lab. BOTH were chewing themselves into oblivion, despite being regularly groomed, eating the TOP food, and being inside dogs. The lab is allergic to wheat and corn, so she already had issues - with itching, her ears, losing fur, etc. The aussie was chewing her knuckles and when she "blew coat", looked terrible. I started them both on Missing Link - and WOW, are they show dogs now! Beautiful, healthy coats - shiney, thick, no missing patches on the lab. Chewing is a thing of the past. The look awesome, and are bright eyed and happy. My very skeptical husband even said last night, as I was bragging on my aussie's amazing coat, "It all changed when they started on Missing Link". I will have my fur babies on this for the rest of their lives!!

I am not the one to rant and rave about how great a product is but, in this case, I feel that I have to thank the producer of Missing Link for their wonderful product. My 2 1/2 year old lab started having skin issues: really nasty hotspots and rashes. He was prescribed antibiotics and prescription shampoos; the relief was short lived. Last week I made up my mind to take him to the dermatologist: $175 to get seen only. A lady that I met at the dog park recommended this product. At this point, I was desperate enough to try anything. It worked like magic for my boy: in 24 hours he stopped most of the self chewing and, a week later, most of his hotspots are healed. His energy level is visibly increased and he is in so much better spirits. My other dog, a former stray, is allergic to flea bites (despite the fact that I changed her anti-flea medication to the best rated one); she is still pretty itchy. However, her energy level has also increases (like I needed a teenager dog to be more energetic). This product may or may not work for your dog; I think it has nothing to do with the product though but with the fact that it may or may not contain the component that your dog needs. Overall I am happy with it. The only reason why it gets 4 stars is because it does not work as well for both dogs.

My 50 lb dog has a fungal skin disorder: loss of hair, black greasy skin and an obnoxious smell. He scratches and bites it non-stop. His eyes are often covered with yellow gunk. The vet hasn't been able to fix it. I decided to try the alternative route and purchased the 1lb bag of "Missing Link" on amazon. For the first few days, there was a fishy stench in the house and my dog didn't care for the powder. He has finally finished the 1 lb bag after about 2 months and here are the changes: he loves it now, his hair started growing back, and I notice less scratching and less biting. Maybe it's a coincidence, but so far I haven't seen any fleas either. I'm happy with the changes "Ultimate Skin & Coat" has made. I bought me a 5 lb bag this time around as it makes more sense economically than the 1 lb bag. 6/10/14 I have bought another 5 lb bag. All my dog's hair has grown back. The skin disorder that prevented hair growth seems gone. Granted, I also upgraded his dogfood to "Pure Balance: Lamb & Brown Rice Recipe" (available at Walmart) in the last few months, so it's likely a combination of both that has caused the improvement. Lately, my dog has been standing at the fridge as if he's telling me to give him another serving of this powder. You think he's liking it now? FYI: The package says: "Refrigerate after opening. Use within 90 days of opening". I was worried that it would expire and go bad before it gets used up. My worry was unfounded. I had my previos 5 lb bag for about 6 months in the fridge, and it was still fine.

Bought this because I have four large rescue dogs. Their pregnant Mom was dumped out here & delivered puppies in my garage. The puppies are now 6 years old and their coats were dull and shedding. I can't afford to buy really good dog food for them becasue they eat so much so I thought I would try this. Gave them once a day the Missing Link powder on their food as instructed for their weight. Within 2 weeks their coats are all shiny and not much shedding already. I am thinking it will only get better. Dogs love the taste. And two of the dogs had been "slowing down" but two weeks of this on their food and they are acting like 4 month old puppies again, running around everywhere, jumping, playing. I am also giving to my cat and she seems to actually be Happy!. She is quite the picky eater and she actually eats this sprinkled on her food! She was a rescue cat and she is 7 yrs old. She now comes up and wants to be petted and played with which she hasn't done in quite a while!! This stuff WORKS!!! Thank you Missing Link!

We have a Golden Retriever. He was having problems with hot spots and his fur was looking very sad. We had used Missing Link Ultimate Skin & Coat previously but had moved and completely forgotten about it! When I was searching on Amazon.com for other pet supplies, I came across Missing Link Ultimate Skin & Coat. I ordered the large bag, knowing I would use it. We have had our Golden on this for about a month now. His skin is healthy again, no flaking and hot spots are almost completely gone. His fur looks beautiful and shiny. This is a great supplement for your dog! My Vet highly recommends it also! Oh, and giving it to him is no problem, he loves it!

I have used this product with our dog(s) and cat(s) for many years. I originally purchased it when a cat was over-grooming and licking herself bald. The Missing Link stopped that behavior and she grew a gorgeous coat back. The strongest endorsement was accidental - I had run out and forgotten to get more for several months when I had a chance encounter with a seldom seen friend. The first thing she said was an exclamation about my shepherd, "Was he ill?" she said his coat looked really dry and scruffy. The change had been gradual, and I hadn't noticed. I immediately ordered Missing Link again, and within a month or two, he was fantastic looking again.

So angry I spent $250 on this and it came busted and spilled everywhere!!!
