First one was defective but replacement is fine.
My wife has found some of the sound tracks are very good for masking the sounds of my snoring or the street, highway, and train sounds which can sometimes be heard. It fits in her purse and it has traveled everywhere we go. It is always used with power cable so the battery use can not be assessed. The company was very gracious in allowing the first defective one to be quickly replaced by Amazon. The sound ramps up in the beginning and ramps down at the end. I sometimes wake up when the sound disappears before replay. My wife doesn’t notice it. Given it has tiny buttons it is useful to memorize where is the on/off button for use in a dark room.

Nice little sound machine. Heavy, so it doesn't flop around
It's a solid little speaker. Has a bunch of different sounds. I bought it so I can go to sleep at night When my tinnitus is screaming. Of course it doesnt block it out but it helps you think about something else. And I would guess in stressful situations It will help you relax. The only thing I didn't like about it was at night If you want to change the sound, the buttons are a little too flat and difficult to figure out which button to use if you don't have the light on.

Oasis sound machine
Does exactly what it says. It is from relaxing Sounds to rain to do whatever you want. There’s ocean sound tides nature sounds birds and even a heartbeat if you’re interested in hearing that. It will put you in a deep sleep . If you don’t like silence, this is for you.

Small, Soothing Sounds AND Bluetooth Compatible Equal Good Deal
Great little sound/sleep machine. The speaker is very good for the size and love the blue tooth feature, synched right up with my windows phone. Sound is very good given it's so tiny. Wish it had a couple more sounds on the track and the tracks were just a little longer. Hence the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5, but otherwise it is a great little sleep machine. Pricing seems reasonable compared to other machines I looked at. Will definitely take it with me when I travel. My friend has one that she takes with her when she travels. It's huge and cumbersome and only plays one sound - white noise. She's going to be jealous when she sees this one.

Great for sound therapy
I bought this device as a convenient option to administer sound therapy for treating my tinnitus. To be clear: this device is nothing more than a battery powered tiny speaker that you can switch between Bluetooth (playing sounds/music from your phone) and playing sounds from an SD card. One SD card, containing 12 or so soundscapes, is included, and one of these files provides the pink noise that I am looking for (there are quite a few others available to choose from). If you have the sounds you want to play on your phone, or can stream them from there, then this device is just an ordinary (tiny) Bluetooth speaker. There is no specific medicinal or therapeutic feature in this device (nor did I expect anything to be there). Given the small size, this is great to take along on business trips, which is very important to me. Very well done, but no magic. Highly recommend!

Worked great until I needed it every night, all night
I bought the Sound Oasis to give some white noise in a crowded office suite area, where we could hear one another via the space under the doors. This definitely worked in masking the voices of my clients, and my voice as well. The "brown noise" feature is what I used, better at masking our voices than the white noise feature. Then I moved (my home) to a city environment where there are barking dogs, trucks stopping at a stop sign, similar. At first the Sound Oasis worked great. But at about 3 months in, it must have hit a fatigue wall from being on not an hour at a time but 6-8 hours a night. Specifically, it began to do one or more of these things almost every night: - shut off on its own after only 2-3 hours, emitting a loud warbly alert that wakes you up and flashing all kinds /colors of lights - shuts off, then about 10 seconds later comes back on, as loud as before -- which allows outside noise to invade the room as if the machine isn’t there at all - the brown noise "skips", emitting noise in bursts or as if the stream of noise is being interrupted like a record skipping It’s a nice, small, compact size and can be used as a blue tooth speaker; I haven’t done that yet but you can imagine it’s good for that. BUT: Serious design flaw: there are several buttons on the device, all the same size and shape (teeny -- push with your nail, not your whole fingertip -- and rectangular). You cannot make the system louder or not so loud without turning on a light in the room, putting on your glasses so you can read the tiny print on the device that labels each button, and pushing the teeny buttons for more sound or less sound. There instead should be a LARGE button on top or similar, which you can FEEL without having to fully wake up and see the darn thing, so you can just push it one way or the other for more sound or less. Despite these issues, I have ordered another one to see if the flaws in the one I have are an exception. And I’ve ordered another brand that friends have raved about. Once I have done a comparison, I’ll post here again hoping it will help others.

THIS IS GREAT! Helps with my tinnitus.
This is a fantastic little speaker and noise generator! I bought one from my audiologist's office for about $90, then found this one on Amazon. I bought this one as a gift for my daughter-in-law. It has a micro SD card that I assume you can load your own tunes, but I'm using the built-in sounds. It also has bluetooth, so I use an app called MyNoise from the Apple App Store. The built-in sound that helps the most with my tinnitus is the crickets chirping...we recently moved from Texas to the mountains and I realized that we don't have crickets at night! I was waking up in the middle of the night, then my tinnitus wouldn't let me go back to sleep. The soothing sounds of the crickets helps me get back to sleep. I actually think my dogs sleep later in the morning with the crickets, and don't try to wake me up at 5 a.m.—maybe all in my head, but it seems pretty consistent. This is GREAT for travel, too. We cruise a lot, so it will be nice to use for music in our stateroom or to drown out noises in the hallway. I've even used it for camping in my car...I have a self-inflating mattress for my car, and having a little noise puts me right to sleep.

Loud, but need constant USB
So the sound is loud enough. My hubby has a hard time hearing his alarm clock in the morning. I don't know if I got a faulty model or not because the sound has petered out (faded) about 3x. When I pick it up or wave my hand towards it, it comes back. (Jinkies, is this from a paranormal reaction or.....? ) Well, anyway, I will just keep the USB hooked up to it even if this still happens. Took it on a trip recently and it worked great this way, and no fading. Edit: Downgraded to one star. The little memory card got jacked up without us even touching it, so we tried to use it as a Bluetooth speaker. It still failed when it started making an annoying popping noise. I'm sure I can't even use it as a speaker even. Don't waste your $$.

Great device, surprisingly good sound for such a small device, battery lasts ages.
Really good; we have a shared wall with a noisy neighbor, and this thing saves our sleep on a nightly basis. I can't work out how the sound is so good with it being so small. Feels weighty and well-made. Loads of options; can't really comment on the stock selection because we play our own white noise that we're used to. The lighting I don't love, but you can just turn it off.

Very happy with the Sound Oasis . VERY compact for travelling to use when you are in a hotel room thats in a noisy neighbourhood . Always travels with us now . Lots of different sound options to choose from . Also helps with my ringing ear and calms an over active mind at night . Would buy again .

Very useful device, albeit some manufacturing problems.
It's really useful to set me off to sleep as I love the deep droning of white and brown sound that drowns out the other irritating noise from outside. PROS: The speaker sound is deep, wholesome. Makes listening to the waves and rainfall sounds wonderful. It's got a good variety of pre loaded sounds in the SD card. Body seems sturdy. CONS: But it's got some manufacturing problems. In my device, the power button is stuck inside. The size of buttons (in general) are too small. Everytime I need to put it on using nails (coz the button is stuck pressed into it). I need to then change the setting from Bluetooth to SD card and it's button is on the opposite side to the ON button. It's worse if I do it mid sleep, which is annoying. The design needs a lot of work. Otherwise, I don't think I can live and sleep without it. I've gotten way too used to the AC fan sound and this device is more useful when I'm not using the AC and it's going to be especially useful during winter months. Also, this was the only affordable device available in India for a first time user. I got sick of looking at sleep sound devices only meant for babies. Adults need such things too.

AMAZING
Not only do you have a decent sound selection for sleeping it has a sad cars you can download your own sounds or music. It’s the battery that is the most amazing. Am in the middle of renovating and can not keep it plugged in. Thought that after 8 hours I would have to charge it but no it lasted 3 nights that’s @24 hours of play time. And the sound it’s amazing as well. It’s my all in one portable speaker and sleep aid !!!
