I work on various shipyards across the US, and traveling with a standard hardhat is cumbersome. This takes up a fraction of space in my suitcase, and is perfect for anyone that travels with a hardhat. Once expanded, it doesn’t look too different than a standard one. So the safety-guy at these sites doesn’t ask too many questions if you’re just walking passed him. I don’t see any certifications anywhere on in, so it may not comply with company policies, but for what I do, it’s merely a formality so I’m fine with it.

I travel the USA going to ports to board ships. Although they don’t last a long time 6 months to a year before they start breaking apart they are easy to travel with.
