I was hoping it would provide support for me while trying to get back into activities like hiking, biking, and skiing. I measured my leg according to the instructions and ordered a size large. After the brace arrived, I tried it on with the compression sleeve. It was so tight that I could not wear it. I tried the brace without the sleeve and it fit ok. It has to be strapped on tight to work properly, which makes it less comfortable. I decided to try it on a mountain bike ride. I strapped it on and loaded my bike into my truck for a 15 minute drive to the trails. My leg was in pain by the time I arrived due to the brace. I rode around for about 2 minutes and the brace was very uncomfortable and did not perform as I was hoping. I took it off I think the problem is on the design. It seems like once the knee is flexed, it stretches the plastic until the knee is in the straight position. This does not allow partial flexion, which renders it useless for me and what I wanted to use it for. I ended up finding a better one made by 3m at my local cvs. I have worn it skiing multiple times and often forget it is there as it provides the support I want.
