Perfect for me
Before I begin, I should say that eyelash curler experiences will vary a lot between people because people's eyelashes and eye shapes are so different. For me, none of the traditional eyelash curlers worked for me. I have short, straight eyelashes and semi-flat eyes. I tried a bunch of curlers from the drugstore and Ulta, and none of them would grab my lashes. Research suggested that the two best curlers for my eyelashes would be Shiseido and Shu Uemura, both non-electric curlers. The Shiseido curler grabbed my lashes very well. It also grabbed the skin in back of them very well. I couldn't squeeze the curler without painfully pinching the skin in back. The Shu Uemura curler grabbed my lashes pretty well and didn't pinch my skin, but my lashes never stayed curly despite trying all the tricks--waterproof mascara, flipping the curler up while in a closed position, curling little by little starting at the base, running the curler under hot water for a while, etc. I even tried hair spray on the curler. Nothing worked. A woman at Sephora used the Dior heated lash curler on me with good results, so I bought one of those. It arrived broken. As did the replacement. Then I got the Panasonic EH2351AC Heated Eyelash Curling Wand because it looked like the Dior one. The instructions say to apply it after mascara, so I did. I ended up with mascara melted onto my skin. Then I found this curler. Thank heavens! It grabs my lashes perfectly without pinching the skin behind. It does get a bit annoying to hold the button up while it heats, but it heats so quickly that I don't really mind it. I use it after mascara and have had to wash off the pad sometimes, but I've never had to change the pad. The battery lasts a long time. As I said, your experience with eyelash curlers will depend on your eyelashes and eye shape. For me (short straight eyelashes with somewhat flat eyes), this is the only curler that works, and it works perfectly.

absolutely awful !!! ZERO STARS EVEN!
I bought this hoping it would be better than my hot touch (as seen on tv)..oh gosh, this is so awful!! it doesnt curve wide enough over your eye and it grips a limited amount of hair (not all the way from the inner eye to the outer eye because of the limited curve over the eye) and it hardly heats up. I held it on my lashes for 2 minutes and my lashes hardly curled!!! It messed up my lashes, couldnt grab from inner eye to outer eye so it curls only the middle lashes and you cant even see if youve grabbed your lashes properly because something comes up to cover the hair it grabbed! Worst ever.. the Hot Touch as seen on tv is 1000% better! dont bother with this, if there was a rating of ZERO STARS, i'd give it that!!!

Double Action only heats to 113F
I'm reviewing the "double action" curler, not the "comb". Such a great design, but it does not get hot enough! It actually says right on the instructions that it will heat up to a maximum of 113F, which is just not warm enough to make the curl stay. I tried 2 different types of batteries, thinking surely it was going to get hotter. It's such a shame, because the overall design is brilliant. It does actually really lift the lashes and it curls them naturally instead of a boxy right angle like most heated lash curlers. I can get right to the base of the lashes, which I cannot do with most heated lash curlers. I have been using this first to get the shape, then going in after with a heated lash comb to get the lashes hot enough, but that is time consuming and it would be really nice if Panasonic would just let this get a little hotter, like 130F. Converting to usb rechargeable would be awesome as well.

Fast, curls lashes and heat sets them, safe, & easy!
I have long layered lashes that are often going many different directions including lashes that point down towards my eye. This is the best eyelash curler I have ever used. I've been using it for many many months now and it still is working great. Love it!! It heats up in just 15 seconds! Using those old fashioned eyelash curlers without heat did nothing for my eyelashes, so I had stopped even trying to use those. I bought this eyelash curler along with a heated wand eyelash curler for more flexibility, but I find myself only using this one. The wand takes much longer to heat up and doesn't do as good of a job curling, but the wand is smaller so it packs better in my makeup bag and it helps separate the lashes. This one, while it does take up more space in my bag and doesn't have a comb to separate the lashes, it doesn't clump or pinch or pull my lashes, it's great at curling them, and is the fastest and easiest to use. I may still use the wand on occasion, but only in combination with this one to just make it that much better.

Better than the older models
I wasn't sure what to think of this type of eyelash curler but I like that it has the double curler. I'm not entirely sure how much the 2nd one does but it is better than the older styles with just the one curler part. It definitely curls better and I don't get that crimp. Only improvement is I wish there was an on/off button rather than having to hold it in the closed position for it to heat up. it's sort of hard to hold it closed, open your mascara and apply. I use two different types of mascara so I have 2 or 3 things in one hand, etc. I guess a temperature setting or a high/low setting would be nice too because when you put in fresh batteries in it definitely can get hot but when the batteries start to run out you have to hold for a while. Oh course with all of these you go through batteries pretty quickly...so I wish they lasted longer.

Barely heats up and doesn't curl eyelashes
I had another heated eyelash curler for years that was so wonderful. I purchased this product after reading many glowing reviews. I don't know whether I got a dud or what but it barely heats, and even at that, it takes at least a full minute, and it barely does anything to my naturally very straight eyelashes. AND what little curve it gives them, it doesn't last long. I would certainly not recommend this product to anybody. 3/2018. Update. Thought I needed to change the silicone pad. When I started to pull the pad out, I discovered that a wire went through the middle (must be how it heated) and the wire pulled out with the pad and that was the end of the curler.

This works well for my straight eyelashes. I use it every morning. I’m happy with it.

Curls quickly and gently, does not pull on lashes. The curl sets within seconds and is long lasting.
