ATOMIC 20V MAX* Impact Driver, Cordless, Compact Kit, 2 Batteries, 1/4-Inch (DCF809C2)

I am a mechanical engineer and I routinely use regular electric drills and other machines. This is my first time purchasing and using an impact driver and all I can say about the quality of the tool and the batteries is that, this is the best tool any customer can buy. The design of the product is exceptional. The impact driver is light weight yet very powerful, effective and fast. By controlling how much pressure we put at the trigger - speed of the impact-driver can be controlled for providing accurate results on difficult surfaces. The batteries are feather-light weight and last a very long time (compared to similar mah batteries of Ryobi) and they do not discharge at all if left for weeks. I have used it to hang curtains on difficult surfaces, to put together furniture and install surveillance cameras outside the house and I didn’t even charge the battery when I received the package. One thing I’d recommend anyone buying this is to purchase only impact-ready screwdrivers and drill bits - all bits must have hex-shank for any applications with impact drivers. If you use drill bits with variable shanks/base-diameters then you’ll require to purchase an additional drill-chuck (to be put at the mouth of the impact-driver so you can insert variable-base-diameter drill-bits and tighten the chuck accordingly). However, usage of any such drill-chucks will not only reduce the efficiency/effectiveness of the drilling operation but also defeat the purpose of using light-weight beast such as an impact driver.

Great tool, light weight two batteries and a charger, batteries last long but still have the back up to finish a long project without stop, easy to change the bits.

Very happy with my new driver. Very light, but don't let that fool you. It' has PLENTY of torque to do any job and the battery has very good life and run-time. You just cannot go wrong with DeWalt products and this one is no exception. An excellent tool for the pro or the home handyman.

I'll be the first to say that Dewalt is a bit overpriced compared to some of the comparative competition. But with a decent carrying bag and a small battery with a charger included, it's hard to pass this up when it's got that Amazon discount going. If it's full price, just put it on a watch list and wait for it to drop, you won't regret it. Good quality product, even better if you can get it on sale for significantly less than you'd find it off the shelf for at Lowes or Home Depot. Perfect for any around-the-house jobs that require drilling or driving. Just keep in mind that if you are a first-time buyer of power tools, it doesn't come with any bits, you're going to need to buy those separately.

This 1/4 inch drill is powerful and easy to use. The 3 lights are bright and extremely handy even when used in broad daylight. The batteries charge fairly quickly and last a long time. I am a 72 year old woman and I live alone and use this drill for so many things. My old drill was heavy and worked well but this drill is shaped for my hand perfectly. My neighbor used it and he said he loved it as well. This is a great drill for the price. I highly recommend it.

This tool is great. However, they cheaped out on the batteries and the charger. The 1.5AH batteries stop working too soon. The charger is only rated for 1.5A output, so you will have to replace it when you buy the bigger batteries that you really need for this tool. My 3.0AH batteries that came with my drill are perfect.

A powerful little beast! An impact driver and torx head screws make life worth living again. I like it a lot!

I absolutely love this little drill.. I bought it used for a discount and unfortunately one of the batteries was not good... this amazing company left me a prompt email and even a phone number to call... the man answered right away and immediately mailed me a brand new battery.. I am very pleased ... what a great product at a great price! What excellent service too!

Be careful - false advertising Recieved impact driver good tool no problems. But tool arrived with tstak case and not tool bag as advertised, this is not what I ordered.

Quality seems there. Will need to see usage over time and effectiveness. Pleased with the purchase.
