APEX GARDEN Replacement Canopy Top for 10' x 12' Monterey Gazebo #L-GZ288PST-4H / L-GZ288PST-4D

I just out this canopy up a few weeks ago. Unlike the other replacement canopy (which was made by the maker of the canopy and only lasted a year) this canopy is thicker, reinforced at the corner grommets, and the seams. I'm so glad I purchased this canopy! It a perfect fit!!

This canopy top replaced are original one for our SunJoy 10 foot by 12 foot gazebo. FIT great. and was easy to put up, and looks good too. There of course as there is with any canopy some pulling that needed doing to get it to fit over the canopy frame. But, my husband managed to get it done. Looks good so far. We live on the coast and so we get a lot of moister, and RAIN, and the first good rainstorm of the season just came through dropping about 4 inches of rain and we stayed dry under the canopy. There is some seepage, and it does get condensation underneath. But, it got too cold out to put the fabric protectorate on, so we think had we been able to do that there wouldn't be any problem. We will definitely buy this again when it is time to replace it.

At first I was bummed by the color- it is not grey like the picture nor is it the same canopy at all but honestly I’m already enjoying it much more than the original!!! The original didn’t last even a full year & that was with taking good care of it like taking it down any time there was expected winds or heavy rains/ hurricane season. It always collected water & flapped in any slight breeze but since getting this replacement, it barely moves in the wind & the rain (light rain cause we haven’t had a heavy rain since I put it up) , the water just jumps off of it rather than collects. I did like the grey cause it matches my house which was the main reason I chose this set in the first place but the brown is really cozy & warm color in the sun. It was very easy to put together & has only 4 seams which is less likely to tear like original, just really hoping this lasts through the season! Having an outdoor canopy really makes a whole other room to a home. We’ve enjoyed it!

Tried several roofs over the years and this is the best fitting roof I have had. It’s nice and tight and the water has not collected on it, the rain just runs right off.

This gazebo top canopy was not the best quality. After a normal fall season rainstorm, nothing extreme in any way, the gazebo top has torn in the middle of one of the 10’ edges, right at where the Velcro strap that secures it to the gazebo brace is located. This canopy did not even last 1 season and I would highly recommend NOT purchasing this specific canopy.

This replacement seems to be a little thinner than the original (and slightly off-color), but it is a much tighter fit and just as easy to assemble. I've had the replacement top on my canopy for a month now and had multiple storms (just had 1"+ of rain last night) and this replacement top looks the same as new. This canopy top is improved as the eyelets are much closer to the horizontal support bar/frame to eliminate the water pooling issue, which was the biggest flaw with the original design. 10/10 would recommend.

We are pleased with the awning. We have it up all summer with no problems. Be sure to align the length and width of the awning with the frame before you start. We also use step stools to more easily attach the awning, otherwise there is a lot of 'over your head' work, that can be uncomfortable.

The original canopy had some design flaws that made the top sag badly with rain water - grommets too far from the lower edge, needed more hook/loop fasteners along the edges to keep it from sagging, and the screen along the raised center section flapped open and let mosquitoes in. This replacement fixed EVERYTHING on that list! Excellent upgrade, and very happy that we didn't have to manually do this ourselves before we put it up. Very, very satisfied!
