I glove box latch broke about five years ago. It would close but not open. I would use a small flathead screw driver to open it. I decided to replace the latch. I ordered this one. It took five minutes to remove the old and install the new. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the latch. Save the screws because the new latch does not come with screws. The old screws fit the new latch fine.
