Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories - PlayStation 4

Excelente videojuego, uno de los mejores de la saga de Disaster Report, nostalgia absoluta desde su primer videojuego lanzado en los años 2000 para PlayStation 2, es una joya que vale la pena jugar en esta versión de PS4, compatible también con PS5.

Fun game

Let me say I was such a huge fan of Disaster Report 2, the only game in the franchise I've played. Still own it too. I've waited almost 20 years for this game and let me tell you, the game looks and controls just the same back then. None of the charm from the previous game like well I forgot but believe me, the choices that you make in the game just don't feel like they'll matter in the end. Now I thought maybe the VR would make up for it but nooo no no. I only had one area unlocked but that was enough for me to not want to play it again. The mode strips away all the NPCs from the area and you are basically just walking around in crappy graphics. Just go outside, people. That is where the real Disaster Report is.

I was disappointed when Irem canceled Disaster Report 4. I'd long been a fan of the first two games in the series with their ambitious, unpolished, and charming design. Fortunately, Granzella (founded by former Irem employees) ultimately finished and released this game. While I found the demo somewhat lackluster, I remained confident that I'd enjoy the game. And I certainly did. It feels like a PS2 game in many ways, from the clumsy menu system to the way you must sometimes wander aimlessly to discover what triggers the next objective. But if you can get past those things I think the game has a lot to offer. The tone shifts frequently, with scenes of death and depravity interspersed with absurdist humor. But these clashing elements work. The game has heart, even if things get too ridiculous for the characters to be particularly relatable. Few of your choices are significant to the story, but many of them are entertaining. Each of the two endings is unique and worth experiencing. (Just save before a final decision.) The epilogue is also worthwhile. If only Steambot Chronicles 2 would be similarly revived.

I am writing it on here, BUt I bought it digitally on the SWitch. When I was first trying to get it, THe game was sold out. SO I had no choice, I love it so much, I plan to buy the ps4 version as well. I beat the game on the Switch and going through a second time. And the music in this game is so beautifully done, This is the first time I heard of this series. MAkes me wanna pull out my ps3 and try to find the older ones. If I can... lol

It took them a while to bring this game to the US (English) and what did you get for waiting? Full English voice overs? Nope. All that time for English subtitles and the same Japanese voice overs. Yep. The game is below average. Kind of boring at times. Visually, it's ok but it doesn't have much in the way of gameplay. Seems like they put more into the Visuals than the gameplay. This game is worth about $5 or $10 dollars. Don't pay more than that. If you do pay what I did, you will be very disappointed.

This game is extremely fun to play! I cannot recommend this enough! You play as either a man, or a woman created by yourself with features different face, hair etc, and you get to explore a city and make moral choices along the way. choosing to be good or bad weather to save a person or not. You make your own choices which makes for great replayability for this game. Very highly recommended I also recommend raw danger for PS1 and disaster report for PS1.

This game is one of my absolute favorites. I've played it on the Nintendo Switch twice, and it was surprisingly fun but also sad. The game is inspired by the March 2011 earthquake in Japan, which was one of the strongest ever recorded. I expected it to be melancholic, but there were funny moments throughout. The game was delivered in perfect condition within 10 days, even though it came from the USA all the way to the UAE. If you like casual story mode games, you will love this one!

Muy buen juego y divertido.

Waited over 15 years for this game. It does look like an older game. But the fact that it stays true to the game series is amazing. But be ready for some dark sides of humanity. And lots of death. Some of my in game actions had outcomes that made me sad. And some made me happy. Must replay a lot of times. And tons of free DLC. A must play for servivale game lovers.
