Overall Impression: These are very easy to take, especially after bariatric surgery when swallowing large pills can be difficult. The dissolvable tablets are convenient and the berry flavor makes them much easier to take than traditional calcium pills. Pros: Dissolvable tablets (great if you can’t swallow large pills) Includes calcium citrate, Vitamin D3, and magnesium Berry flavor is pleasant and not overly chalky Designed specifically for bariatric patients Easy to take on schedule throughout the day Considerations: You do have to take multiple tablets per day to meet calcium requirements Flavor is good, but still has a slight vitamin taste Best For: Bariatric patients, anyone who has trouble swallowing pills, and people who need calcium citrate instead of calcium carbonate. Final Verdict: These are a great option for bariatric patients who need calcium supplements but can’t tolerate large pills. The dissolvable format and flavor make them much easier to stay consistent with.

I needed some easy to swallow calcium tablets. I did not want to take more capsule form pills, I found these dissolving tablets which I'm so grateful for. They just melt in your mouth and taste great to. I will continue to buy these, great product.

A high quality calcium supplement that isn't ungodly expensive. It tastes great, it is a little chalky similar to an antacid. It dissolves in the mouth easily and does not leave product stuck in the teeth. I recommend this brand not only for RNY, but for women going through menopause. Does not upset the stomach.

A friend recommended these vitamins when I told her calcium pills upset my stomach. With Barimelts I can now take calcium easily. The tablets melt in my mouth and taste good with no upset stomach. My calcium went to a normal levels within 3 weeks. I liked these so much I bought Barimelts BPlus. Highly recommend these vitamins

8/18/24 Addendum Review After 3rd purchase: no longer has the same sweet fruity taste. Now just have a plain chalk taste, something changed. I don't like it now. The company need to know 😕. 😞 Now I have to find something else. Review After 1st Purchase: After Gastric bypass surgery these are excellent to take, ease of use because you don't need water to take them. These vitamins have a powdery consistency, but it tastes just like a candy that I used to have when I was a child it does not have a horrible smell either. the size of it is not bad because as you suck on them they basically melt in your mouth. I love Barimelts vitamins, all of them. A few do break up in bottom of bottle but that doesn't really bother me. it's benefit versus risk. There are benefits in taking a vitamin that I like the taste of, I don't worry about a few of them chipping off, I really don't. I prefer this over having to swallow large vitamin capsules or swallowing pills at all.

I've been searching for a chewable calcium for my toddler, who has a lot of food allergies and doesn't drink enough milk alternatives. Of the chewable tablets, this one tastes the best. It's not too sweet, melts in your mouth, and overall very pleasant. However, 2 tablets gives you 1500 IU (188%) of vitamin D and only 500 mg (39%) calcium. If you take 4 or 5 tablets to get 100% calcium, you would be taking 3000-3750 IU (376% - 470%) of vitamin D! The upper limit for adults is 4000 IU per day, but you get vitamin D from other food sources and multivitamins, so you would be at risk of having vitamin D toxicity if you ate that amount daily. To BariMelts, if you could lower the vitamin D to 400-600 IU per serving instead of 1500 IU, this would be the perfect and best chewable calcium supplement. As it is, I can't recommend it for fear of vitamin D toxicity in me and especially my little one. For comparison, here are the other calcium chewables I've tried. ShinyLeaf Bariatric Calcium Citrate - 2 tablets, 600 mg calcium, 400 IU vitamin D, 120 mg magnesium. This one is the chalkiest of all of them. The taste is okay, but it's so chalky and crumbly that it's really hard to finish -- bleh. *BariMelts Calcium - 2 tablets, 500 mg calcium, 1500 IU vitamin D, 120 mg magnesium. Best tasting tablet, even yummy, and it does melt in your mouth. Unfortunately, the amount of vitamin D is way too high for the amount of calcium that you get. BariSlim Calcium Citrate Chewable - 2 tablets, 500 mg calcium, 600 IU vitamin D, 100 mg magnesium. I hoped this would taste good since its cousin, BariMelts, was so yummy. Unfortunately, this one is hard and chalky and does not melt in your mouth. The taste is probably the worst, but the texture is not as chalky as the ShinyLeaf, so it's a tie for worst as far as edibility. Bariatric fusion calcium citrate chewable tablet - 4 tablets, 1300 mg calcium, 800 IU vitamin D, 84 mg magnesium. If you halve the serving size, it's about equivalent to the other ones. Taste and chalkiness is better than the bottom two, and it has the best ratio of calcium to vitamin D so that you don't get vitamin D toxicity in order to get the full amount of calcium needed. I'll probably buy this for me and a gummy version for my kids. Hope this helps!

My doctor recommended these for me after my bariatric surgery. They are chewable easy to take help with extra calcium no side effects. I take them daily. They were great value. They smell really well and taste good I highly recommend these.
