Hank Williams - The Complete Collection

If you like the universal and timeless themes in a Hank Williams song or are just a fan, you'll love this collection. For those of you new to Hank Williams, Sr., these discs were compiled from old recordings so don't expect flawless digital sound, but the sound reproduction here is good. And especially if your new to Hank Williams, Sr., he may not have been a great father, but he was a great song writer and even better performer than Jr. in my opinion.

This 3 CD set was well worth what I paid for it. I would say most all of Hank's best tunes are here on these 3 CD's. I would strongly recommend this to an avid Hank fan who is a collector of having most of his music, but not as a first time Hank listener as most of the songs are live or different versions of his major tunes. A whole disc of live songs mostly recorded at The Grand Ole Opry is included here and one disc has a lot of acoustic guitar solo work. Most of the sound quality is good; being that it was recorded over 50 years ago.

Loved this order, but we lost it in the flood in mid-michigan. Unfortunately we had not yet ripped it and backed it up so we lost it all, but nevertheless it was well worth the price and great quality.

HANK WILLIAMS IS ONE OF MY HUSBANDS FAVORITES. HE IS PURE OLD COUNTRY HE HAS ENJOYED THE COLLECTION OF HANK WILLIAMS VERY MUCH. T HERE IS ALL OF HANKS GREAT EST HITS ON T HIS COLLECTION. IT WAS A GREAT PURCHASE. REALLY GOING TO BE ENJOYED.

I like the Hank Williams Complete Collection CDs because the country sound is so clear and easy to listen to. When I am riding in my car, I put on the CD and sing along with the King of Country!

Any fan of Hank Williams' music has learned to view CDs called "Complete" with caution. This three-disc set is no exception. Each disc has 20 songs: Greatest Hits, live recordings and solo demos. The greatest hits are well chosen, but leave out essentials like "Ramblin' Man" and the wonderfully morose "Please Make Up Your Mind." The live cuts, again, are well chosen, but are without any continuity or much explanation. The last disc, solo demos (some later overdubbed with other musicians), is again a good mix of selections, but is far, far from "complete." One booklet has a brief biography of Ol' Hank, while the other two booklets list just the songs and basic credits. All of the above aside, "The Complete Collection" is a very good value (I paid less than $10.00) as an inexpensive introduction to the many facets of the incredibly prolific original King of Country Music.

Fantastic! The sound is great. The recordings of broadcasts/Live performances do have period correct characteristics, but this doesn't diminish my enjoyment one bit, to the contrary. Get it. Do it now.

Mom was so happy to receive this

As a great lover of "old fashioned" country songs, especially of Mr. Hank Wlliams Sr., I bought this box some months ago and trust me, I'm listening to these three cds since that day. It's a collection of his most famous songs, the third cd is all about live radio sessions (very interesting) where he sings and makes little chat. The only thing that disappointed me was that the paper box which contained the three cds was ruined in a bad way. But that has depended from the seller or the delivery to Italy. I was so happy that I didn't investigate too much on the matter (now I regret it). I truly reccomend this collection if you love Hank Williams Sr.'s songs!

Great set of CDs arrived well pack and in perfect condition. Well worth the cost for country music fans recommend the product and the seller.
