Smooth Writer, Crisp Color, and Totally Okay to Lose
Love these pens. They write super smooth right out of the box—no skipping, no weird break-in period, just clean, crisp lines from the first stroke. The ink color is vibrant, and the feel in hand is surprisingly nice for something disposable. The grip is just right for my slightly large hands. The ink dries quickly, though I'm not lefty, so that's not typically something I have too much problem with. I prefer the fine point > medium because my handwriting is messy and small and sometime the medium makes it bit blurry. Only downside? I keep losing them. But honestly, that’s kind of the point—they’re affordable enough that I don’t have to launch a full-scale search-and-rescue mission every time one disappears under the car seat or into the pen void at work. Great for everyday writing without the heartbreak if one vanishes. Definitely a repeat buy.

Pilot Varsity
The Pilot Varsity is a disposable fountain pen. I have had other fountain pens but the varsity is the first disposable that have found that is any good. and it is very good, Pilot got this one right. The one problem that has kept me from using a disposable fountain pen in the past is that I am a fast writer and none of them could keep up they would skip and i would have to go back and correct the gap and that is very frustrating. but the Varsity can keep up with my fast handwriting It writes smooth with no loss of line, the ink flows evenly and neat no matter how fast I write. I bought my first Varsity at a brick and mortar book store but when I needed a new one they stopped stocking them. I found them in staples but you can not buy a single pen and they only carry variety packs including black blue red and purple I have no use for the red and purple or the blue so I looked on amazon. Amazon is the only place I found the 12 Pack of black. If you like writing with a fountain pen and are looking for the convenience of a disposable (like me) or want to have a backup to use at work or school without having to worry about loosing your expensive refillable pen, get this pack you will not be sorry.

Smooth writing @ an excellent price
I prefer to write with fountain pens because they a) make my writing look far better, and b) glide easily. Pros: + Disposable means you don't need to worry so much about loosing one as they are cheap to replace. + Comparable in performance to other fountain pens in the $50 range. + Smooth writing, excellent for those who's wrists fatigue easily or suffer from carpal tunnel. + Most people will find their handwriting improves with a fountain pen, these pens are no exception. Cons: - Non-refillable by design (Unless you obviously take it apart, look up Varsity refill if you want to know how) - Runs out of ink much sooner than rollerball or gel pens, though should be expected with fountain pens. - Sometimes inconsistent performance, fine lines one minute blotchy the next. Have a tendency to clog at the tip requiring one to wipe the tip off to get it to write again. Those looking for a relatively cheap alternative to these pens that are refillable I recommend the Pelikano line of fountain pens, they can be had for $10-$15 (around $20 on amazon), the refills are cheap and is a quality starter fountain pen. Why didn't I try this pen sooner?
This was my first time trying out the medium point after years of using the fine point. The medium is tremendous. It has good lines with a steady black ink flow, and it has not put anything blotchy on the page yet. It also feels very comfortable in the hand, with just the right thickness to feel comfortable and balanced. I use the pen for everyday writing. It is fantastic.

Very Good Budget Fountain
If you’re just getting into fountain pens or have used fountains before these are very good budget friendly pens. I have a few out to blow my coworkers minds- they’re only used to ballpoint or gel tip. Pair these with good paper and you have a match made in heaven. The texture/ feel of the tip on some good notebook paper is amazing. I have carpal tunnel and my wrist thanks me for buying these. Needing minimal pressure while maintaining good hand writing. Would definitely recommend

Much better than you could imagine.
I have been writing with, collecting, and loving fountain pens for forty years. I own, and have owned, pens costing many hundreds of dollars. I have restored antique pens to almost new condition. I say this only as background for my comments. These disposable pens are wonderful. For less than $2.50, you can write with a real, expressive fountain pen. The nib, (the "point", business end, whatever) is stainless steel, and the ink supply seems inexhaustable. To clarify some confusion in other reviews, be aware that these are real fountain pens. Expensive pens, that you use, refill, and use again for years, usually have gold nibs (14-21kt). The gold nib usually has a tiny ball of iridium welded to the end during manufacture. Iridium, the same metal found most plentifully in meteors, is hard, and prevents the gold from wearing quickly. The gold provides the flexibility needed for expressive writing. Less expensive are pens with stainless steel nibs, also tipped in iridium. The nibs on these DISPOSABLE pens are stainless steel, without the iridium. The nib wears well, for the life of the throw-away pen. Try these, you'll like them. If you don't, your investment is very small. If you do like the experience, go on to better pens, I suggest the Waterman 'Phileas' as a good next step. The nib is stainless steel, iridium tipped, and gold plated (for looks, only). As a bonus, the pen has a classic look, perhaps reminding one of Jules Verne and his traveller. The price is usually in the $25.00-$35.00 range. Great colors, matching roller ball and ballpoint available. After that, the adventure continues, limited only by your pocket book. If you are a fountain pen person, but just don't know it yet, there is no better, low cost way to find out than these disposable pens. 'Way better' than any ballpoint or rollerball.

The best pen around!
This is the only pen I use besides refillable fountain pens. Light with a great feel in your hands keeps away the finger cramps for long writing sessions. The pen nib is a medium size so it can smear a little and the writing can run a little thick, but unless you want a very fine line, you’re looking at a great quality pen. One pen also goes a long way as the ink lasts a long while. In my opinion, makes any writing project look great!

They're great
Bought them as a christmas present for someone who loves writing with fountain pens, and they gave me one out of their box. It's purple ink and it's fun to write with. Will definitely buy more.

Great writing pen for right-handers!
I'm a right-handed writer who wanted a cool yet inexpensive pen and these fit the bill nicely. Writing on paper that isn't laid on a flat surface is as difficult as you would expect, but if you use gel ink pens you'll be familiar with that challenge. Still very fun to write with though, and people will often make compliments about the pen despite the fact that it's just a cheap disposable fountain pen with a mundane plastic (but comfortable) body. Really recommend this pen for people who don't want the hassle of a real fountain pen but like the aesthetics.

Great one-time use fountain pen overall
I love these disposible fountain pens, I use them for travel or as a backup if my refillable pens run out and i'm not close to my ink well or have a cartridge handy. They are easy to use and lose, most of them write well but I have had the odd one have a scratchiness to them, overall great pens
