I bought these to replace a shorter screw on a camera mount. They worked great and now my camera can attach to the mount.

These Tripod Screws work perfectly!!! I tried to find these tripod mounts for my Velbon tripod and couldn't find them for purchase. I finally found one on Amazon but it cost almost $40 each. So I 3D printed the mount itself, then purchased these Screws for about $1 each and combined these with my 3D printed mounts. Works perfectly at a fraction of the cost as purchasing the entire mount itself. I'd highly recommend!

I replaced a lot of my camera plates with this because the ones it came with were only removable with some type of tool. This is tool less and it’s great quality too.

My previous mount had it's screws drop out when I was out taking photos. These ones dropped right back in place of the others.

There are a couple of issues with these: One, the fit and finish is rough. You can feel it when you pick them up. They should have been deburred in the tumbler as they handle like they have sharp edges. Two, the D-ring hinge sits in a way where the ring pivot is higher than the base of the head. So if you have the ring unfolded to turn it, it won't seat all the way down. To improve this you have to fold the d-ring down and use a flathead screwdriver to tighten it down which defeats the purpose of the d-ring and requires a separate tool. Even then it still doesn't seat all the way flat. You can tell these are not heavy duty by any means, doesn't seem like aluminum but definitely feels like plated pot metal. I know they're cheap but I'd say if they at least functioned properly I could have lived with any other shortcoming as they're just a temporary solution. UPDATE: Upgraded to 3 stars. Relative to other products I wouldn't count this as ideal. It really has to do with the geometry of the bail, it doesn't rotate out when tightened so defeats the purpose. BUT, over time, despite the rough build quality these have held up. Combine that with the very low cost and I think it worth saying that these do work and they seem to be tough enough. Probably won't be mounting an expensive heavy telephoto to it, but for my strobes, why not.
