I've been an Elton John fan for many, many years now, and always will be. This greatest hits collection is what I would define as the 'second phase' of John's music career, when he split with from-the-beginning collaborator Bernie Taupin and moved on to work with other writers and producers. This collection, to me, establishes that Elton John was quite successful in this productive period of his career. This collection is perfect for the casual Elton John fan who doesn't necessarily want to buy the full albums that these singles came from. In fact, a couple of the songs on here were, at the time, released as a single-only. Or, the bigger fans like me may want this greatest hits package as a way to listen to the hits in one convenient package, without spinning through several CDs. Either way, I very much recommend this collection for all Elton John fans. After all these years, the songs still sound great on this disc.

There CD came sooner than I expected. Excellent quality - like new. I had the CD before but mis-placed it. ..... and the price was excellent! Thank you Mr C.

This is a great CD but I wish I had gotten the one that included more hits. It has 10 favorites of mine but with Mr. John, you always wish there were a few more.

I got this because we played it at work and it grew on me! Never liked him until now!!

If you like and enjoy Elton John music... this is the album you MUST HAVE in you collection. Outstanding Elton John!

this cd is really easy listening, I bought it because I love the song Nikitta

Greatest Hits 1976-1986 is an American import and includes some of the British singer's biggest hits in the US including the very good "Little Jeannie".A good album but not a great album.
