Colored mat
The mat is good. No issues. Love the double sides of different colors to match my color mood.

Great Quality and Price!
While this cutting mat is smaller than 24 x 36 inches ( it is basically 22 x 34 inches) I love how clear the white lines are for cutting and how the inch markings are bolder that half inch so you can easily see where to place your rulers. The mat is self healing and my rotary cutter just glides on this mat. I am getting much cleaner cuts of fabric more easily with this mat whether or not I am sitting down or standing. It is also reversible so if you need to use glues or other materials I suggest using one side for that work and keeping another side just for work with fabric and patterns.

Mat is Awesome; Packaging not-so-good
Ok, firstly, this is a gorgeous, thick mat, double-sided and far better than any cutting mat I have seen in any of my local huge craft stores. It is also less expensive; even with big coupons, I could not get a mat this size for anything near what I paid for this mat. So five stars for that! And despite what I have read in one of the comments, there was no off-putting odor. That said, I have to mention the packaging it was shipped in. It arrived in a frame box, squished, with the mat having slunk down, curling itself on the bottom. On removal from the shipping box, the mat was decidedly wavy, like it was molded that way. I have tried to bend it back to flat, but presently have it flat on a table with heavy things on it, hoping for it to flatten out more with the pressure. It has been 24 hours and there has been improvement; I am hoping for more. I may need to sandwich it between two hot cookie sheets if pressure alone does not work. I urge the manufacturer to either put in baffles in the shipping boxes to prevent the mat slumping and curling within the box they are presently using, or better yet, just make a big cardboard envelope for it out of the sides of the boxes. It is a flat thing, after all. I will be doing just that out of the shipping box for my closet storage. Edit: Used the heated cookie sheet with heavy things on top and it worked well. Mat now flat.

Some things I like and some things I don't
I am a quilter. While this mat isn't specifically for quilters, it is a good mat. I like the color of it and the fact that it's two sided so I can choose the side that most contrasts with my fabric color. I haven't had it long enough to decide if it wears my rotary cutter blades out faster than my old Olfa mat. What I don't like about it is that the measurements don't go to 36 inches on the long side. My old mat was made for quilters so it was a full yard long with extra space for bringing your fabric right up to the one inch line with a little space left over. This is 35 inches long with that final line right at the edge of the mat, so really when you lay a yard of fabric on it it covers all lines of the mat. The same applies to the shorter side of the mat. The quarter inch lines and eighth inch lines are on the mat and are pretty narrow. But the inch marks are wider so this can affect your cutting of small pieces if you aren't careful to be consistent in where you lay the fabric on the wider line. You really have to be careful. It's not a huge deal if you are careful in your cutting. It is heavy, much heavier than my old mat. It has a slicker surface so with small pieces you might have to deal with movement of your fabric. All those things being said, I do like it. The extra weight is good and under some circumstances the slicker surface is a bonus...like when turning a pieces of fabric to trim all 4 sides. Generally speaking I'm happy with it. I was going to buy the new mat (double sided) put out by Tula Pink but the price of that one took my breath away. I'm sure it's grand, but this one was a fraction of that price and is still very good although not perfect.

Perfect mat
Very thick and sturdy may that is every bit as good as the ones you will pay $30-$40 more in craft stores. Love that it can be blue or pink.

Self healing cutting mat
Great cutting mat!

Hopefully the cutting mate is “self healing” as advertised.
Received this mat in good condition. The size isn’t quite the size they advertised but it fits my cutting table. It’s smaller. It had a strong plastic smell when I opened the package. I used vinegar and warm water to wipe it down on both sides and let it dry. After a few days the smell was gone. I am happy with my purchase.

I’m really pleased with this cutting mat. I’m a quilter and replaced my old Olfa mat with this pretty pink one. I love it, so cheery in my sewing area.

It fits my linnmon desktop from ikea! As mentioned above it is most certainly not 24x36 but rather 23x35. Why not just advertise it as such? The trim around the edges is very thin, but the white grid lines are very visible and easy to read. Mine did not come warped which was a bonus! Be wary of ordering this in extreme heat, it will bend and its impossible to get the bends out. It's also quite smelly, but should off gas with due time. Overall I need something to protect my desk, with quick measurment, the cutting lines are a bonus for me and the fact it's self healing is also a plus. If you are cutting lots of fabric, I suggest a different brand, but as a desk cover for general crafting and adding a splash of color? 10/10 for that. Hope this review helps!
