Good enough for me
Way smaller than I thought but it’s not the size, it’s how you use it. My gf assures me that is true. But she may not have been listening as she tunes me out after a few drinks. Then she gets mad at me for not listening to her dumb stories about Trisha at work. I really don’t care to hear about another woman’s life unless we’re talking wardrobe malfunctions. The knife was good anyways. We’ll see if it holds up longer than my relationship.

If only they would fix the clip...
Very compact and cute. Very sturdy, handy, and useful. The clip broke almost immediately and then had to be carried in my husband's pocket which didn't last long because like many men he doesn't like having a bunch of stuff in his pockets. It now decorates my coffee table and hardly gets used. If they fix the clip I would highly recommend this product.

I like it so much I bought it twice
The key (no pun intended) to my love of this is the size. I don't want a ton of clutter on my keys, but I like having the utility of a multi-tool close at hand. It's so small, I often forget it's there until I need it. I bought a second one (per my review's title) because I accidentally left it on my keys trying to enter a concert. Oops, confiscated. The Curve is smaller than the keyfob for my car and slides easily next to the fob and my house keys, resulting in not too much bulk. The carabiner-like hook makes it easy to get on and off my keychain, making it much easier to use than if it was more permanently attached. The knife is small, but effective for small tasks. The other tools exist and have saved me from chasing down real tools more than a few times. Though I like the curve, it's not perfect. The blade isn't the greatest I've had. It dulls quickly and never seemed that sharp to begin with. The caribiner attachment that makes it so easy to use is also pretty chintzy. I haven't lost one yet because of this, but it seems like they could have made it better. The tools are obviously not as good as you'd get in a bigger multi-tool, but that's the price of the form factor. The curve is exactly what I was looking for, but it might not be what you want. If you want a tool to keep in a bag, but something bigger/better. If you plan to use it constantly, buy something bigger/better. But if you want something that disappears in your pocket and will occasionally help you open a box or loosen a screw or open a beer, this may be the tool you're looking for too.

It's Short and Stubby so Make Sure That's What You Need
Let's look at the claims for the Curve: "The Gerber Curve Multi-Tool is a stylish multi-tool that you can take with you wherever you go." Style may be personal but this is a claim many would agree with. "The Curve has many useful tools that you will find helpful for everyday tasks." I haven't found anything new to use this on that I couldn't do with my mini-Victorinox "The 1.25" drop point blade, medium and small flat head screwdrivers, philips screwdriver, fingernail file, and bottle opener all lock into place when needed." I have yet to turn a screw with either blade but the knife is sharp. The locking feature is helpful, but to get to the tool you want to use, you may have to open a couple other blades first. Just from the fit in my hand, using it as a screw-driver is going to be a little less comfortable than with a larger handle. "The Curve also includes a convenient carabineer clip, allowing you to easily attach it to a key chain or belt loop." The clip is easy to use, but doesn't fill me with confidence that it will hold. Fortunately, the open work allows for more than one way to clip it to a key ring, etc. The Curve is short and fat, so that may make it awkward to get at other things on your key ring. It's so small that I'm not sure I will ever try it on a belt loop. Made in China, I see no compromise on quality. And, like my other Gerber knives, I don't expect to take advantage of the "limited lifetime warranty."

Small and bulky, not good in the pocket. Still a quality tool for truck box.

Still in great shape after 10 years!
March2023 UPDATE: Not much to report, except that after 10 years of hanging on my keychain, this little tool still just keeps on serving its purpose. The tools are still strong, and lock up tight when in use. It pops off of the ring once in a while, but I haven’t lost it yet. I have more than gotten my money’s worth from this little tool at this point. NOV 2017 UPDATE: Quick update after almost 5 years of use. This has been a daily driver on my keychain since Jan 2013, and I am happy to report that it is still hanging in there. As you can see from my most recent photo, it does show its age, with some visible wear and tear, but otherwise, it is as useful as ever. All of the tools still lock firmly into place, perform well, and have never let me down. There is no side play or looseness with any of the tools, and it still remains closed when not in use. The carabiner clip has occasionally bent, and popped out of place a couple times over the years, but it is easy to put back into place, and I have not lost it yet. All in all, this little thing continues to be a discreet and handy tool to have available, and I regularly put it to good use. In fact, I am as impressed with this tool's durability, as I am with the staying power of the teeny diamonds on the purple Barbie key which also appears in my photos over time. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this in January of 2013, and, after spending over a year and a half jangling away on my keychain, my Gerber Curve is still as intact and useable as it was the day I put it there. The blade is still sharp enough for whatever one might need a teeny knife for, and the screwdriver blades are still nice and square. The bottle opener has probably seen more use than any of the other tools (work hard, play hard) but it too, and the clip that holds the tool on my keyring are both still as good as ever. In my photos, you can see both the wear it has endured over time, and how, in addition to its other myriad uses, it also provides the additional service of lending some small amount of manly credibility to the diamond-encrusted purple Barbie key, with which it shares its real estate. Would buy again.

Latch is a pain to press down
Knife latch is hard to press down. Nice little tool but needs a better latch. Blade is sharp and seems to be made of good metal. Size is good for the little knife.

SKIP this
Blade is thick and blunt, even if you stab yourself with this it'll leave a dent in your skin, not a cut. Really difficult to pry open the tools too with the extremely tiny spring slider. You'll need 2 hands to get the blade out, one to press down and slide the catch, the other to pull the blade out and if you have big fingers, good luck. The slider is only a couple mm long. I got this over a year ago and it has been chucked to the back of some cardboard to god knows where, did not missed it one bit.
