The unique design is very attractive and the best design of all the ones I bought and had to return. The dimmable feature actually dims the light enough to use as a night light (while all the others were so bright I had to squint when I got close to them). There are also multiple choices of shades of white so if you want bright white, you can get it and you can also get warm white as well as shades in between. While I had preferred tapping the base (which, others I bought had actually only worked half the time), this one has a small 4-button attachment fairly close to the lamp on the black cord, which I wrapped discreetly around the black base one time and then it lays flat on the table, making it easy to find. There's an on/off button, a shade of light selector, a + button to make it brighter and a - button to lower the brightness. It all works efficiently and looks great!
