Pant Leg Cuff Clips Bike Bicycle

I bike commute and I don't want my work pants getting greasy on the inside. These work fantastically and are the easiest thing to get on and off. They are tight enough to hold my pants and to remind me that they are there when I walk away from my bike so I don't walk into my first meeting of my day looking weird. Now if only I could do something better about my helmet hair.

I read the reviews about the tightness of these metal clips. Some said they were too tight, but others said they could be stretched to fit. I don't have huge calves and these were MUCH too tight. They would have cut off the blood supply to my feet! I tried stretching them out several ways, but they will not budge. Company charges a restocking fee and cost of shipping makes them impractical to return - so I found a new use for them - using for arm exercising!

When I got them in the mail, I was surprised at how small they are, but then I realized that they have to be. Ankles aren't exactly big usually lol. So they're correctly sized. The metal is a good solid very springy metal. If the picture isn't clear, they work by spreading open, and letting them spring shut around your pants at/near your ankle (ABOVE the ankle bone). So in terms of keeping my jeans out of the bike chain, they work excellently! My only moderate complaint is that they tend to clamp your ankles somewhat to the point of discomfort depending on how you positioned them, your jeans, and at what height. My remedy to this that worked for the most part was to over-expand each of them so upon returning to a relaxed state, they had a larger opening. If you do this, err on the side of not expanding enough, so you can always open them more if need be. This has largely taken care of that complaint, so I'm happy with the product. The small, simple design works well also for me to put these either in my backpack or my pocket if I have to.

I'm a small woman, size 0 - these are made for who? They grip hard & it's difficult to stretch them enough to actually wear without any pain.

I bought this pant clip because it looked easy to put on and take off. It comes off too easily and doesn't hold my wool work pants for more than a few minutes. I'm going back to my velcro, homemade straps. Might work better with denim or thicker pant legs.

High quality, useful and efficient. Keeps my pant legs out of my trike gears!

I remember wearing these as a kid delivering news papers on my bike! These are lots better (70 years later!). I'm using these now to keep the lawn pest, especially chiggers out!

I had hoped these would be the answer I was looking for. Although they do keep your pants legs out of the chain, they are extremely (almost paintully) tight. Also, even though the ends are rounded, they are still sharp and can easily snag your pants when putting them on or taking them off. The search for an easy and effective solution continues....
