The only "weakness" is mainly user related... if you don't strip quite enough insulation off the end of an individual core, you can't nip just a little bit more as it relies on the insulation below to grip and pull. This means moving further up, trimming more off than you need and snipping the conductor back or using a different type of stripper to get just a bit extra... of course, with more use the issue goes away as you get to know what it will clear. Well made and strips 1.5 and 2.5 mm twin and earth cable with ease. As a DIYer it takes a bit of practice first to get it to strip the outer or inner insulation, so make you use some scrap cable first... you can also get replacement blades .
