The material is fairly durable as I was hiking through mountain timber and it never failed. The only downside is the material is not quiet, it is not paper bag loud, but does make an unnatural sound. Not bad for hunting if its raining heavily as the rain will disguise the noise. It does not have pockets, which I guess you really dont need on a rain jacket, but would be nice. Material makes some noise with movement but doesn't bother me any. I love it and would buy it again. The only thing I noticed was when duck hunting with this was the sleeves at the wrist became a little wet but didn't bother me any. Keep in mind I was in the rain and pond for 6 hours.
