The number of threads is very few, but it seemed to go on well and hopefully will seal tightly. I had to trim some flashing on the threads on the IBC in order to get it to screw on properly, but that's not the fault of these adapters. I removed the original valve completely, and this went on the threads directly molded into the IBC.
