INTEX Krystal Clear 2500 GPH Cartridge Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools Bundled with Type B Dacron Paper Filter Cartridges, 6-Pack

I have an Intek above ground pool that came with a sand filter that I eventually switched over to the poly fill balls thinking that they would filter better than the sand. I wasn't satisfied with either option so I "bit the bullet" and switched over to this cartridge style filter/pump and I'm glad I did. It moves a lot more water and the cartridge does a better job of cleaning/filtering the water and the cartridge is a breeze to remove and clean. It takes less than 5 minutes to remove/replace/clean the cartridge. This comes with 6 cartridges but I've only used 2 of them since cleaning is easily done by rinsing the cartridge with a hose. It's worked great for me.

Awesome little pump! I got sick and tired of playing with the inefficient sand filter that came in the pool package. That was a piece of junk and did nothing. Hooked the new cartridge pump up, stirred up the lucky bottom and within 24 hours had a beautifully clean pool - finally! Pulled and cleaned the disgusting cartridge. It hosed off pretty easily. Popped it back in, set up the timer and I'm in business and very happy. Easy set up, easy clean, extra cartridges included. Great deal. Motor is very quiet. Instructions were simple to follow. Really a nice little pump. I bought the 2500/gal/hr version.

No joke! I read reviews before buying it so I was expecting it to be a good filter to replace the poor excuse for a filter that came with my Pro Series summer escapes pool. I did have to cut the hole a little bigger where the water goes back into the pool for the new thing to fit. My son went unto the pool and held a bowl over the hole as soon as we removed the old one to prevent water from pouring out and i cut the hole. Do this a little at a time. Dont over cut or you will be screwed. Its like a hair cut, you can always take a little more but you cant put it pack. My pool has the filter that hangs from the side. I left the skimmer attached to continue as a skimmer and removed the old pump. I bought the adapter. You have to work it in but its worth it. Works great!!! pool is crystal clear. When we set our pool up this year mu husband did it himself. The bottom is not totally pulled flat so there are some creases in it. The filter circulates to water very well. Problem with the pool not being pulled flat is that dirt collects at the creases as it can not circulate because it is hung up. Next year we will make sure to stretch it out very well and smooth to prevent that problem. Now the other thing I want to mention is that the pump is so powerful. The part I attached my filter/skimmer thing to vacuum is slightly sucked in as a vacuum the pool due to strong power. So far has not been a problem just dont be alarmed when it happens. Also it is so powerful that the pool hose that came with my vacuum is to cheap. You need to go to a pool store that sells vacuum hose by the foot and get some stronger hose.

Pump is great, but didn’t come with 6 filters as stated

So I thought the pump was faulty and running 24/7 when I set it to filter for 2 hours. But my dummy self didn't realize that it runs for 2 hours (or the set amount of time) every day at the same time which is amazing cause I don't have to go out there everyday to set the timer! Meaning everyday it filters for the 2 hours I want, shuts off automatically and then starts again next day for 2 hours. The filters are amazing and all in all, for this price, the filter is outstanding. Seriously a cheap price (I have a 4,000gal pool)

I purchased this pump to replace the smaller one that had come with my above ground pool from Intex. I had another pump this size that served me well for several summers but was accidentally left running as the pool was draining and thus the motor was killed. I purchased that previous pump during the price gouging season of covid summer 2019 when we were all locked down. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this pump, with filters included, was half the price of what I paid before! It is working great keeping the pool and great and is the pool in great crystal clear shape. I use the timer function to allow it to run about 12 hours every night.

We got this to replace the junk pump that came with the pool which is 969 gallons. This pump is defiantly overkill, but had the best ratings'. This pump came with 6 free upgraded filters that have preformed well and can also be cleaned a few times before needing to be disposed of. This thing cleans our pool crystal clear in jus a couple hours saving electricity versus running a small pump all night also We are thinking about getting a larger pool next year, so this maybe a win win.

I had 1hp pump and sand filter that came with the house and immediately needed replacing. I did the math on electric bill. Even with the paper filter consumable, this pump is muuuch cheaper to operate than a beefier pump and sand filter combo. And because the paper filters offer almost no back pressure, it has the same flow rate. Also I rinse the paper filters and get more life, so even cheaper. My only wish was if this guy had larger filters so I could replace them less frequently. I change them 1-2 times a day when I first open the pool. Once it's in good shape, I change them once a week.
