Very smooth
This clay has been lovely to work with. It arrived on time and when I received it, it was in ready to use condition and I was able to get started immediately. I like to finish my pieces with a smooth river stone and it leaves a beautiful finish. I have not fired this yet so I can speak to how to does after firing but throwing and using the clay was a great experience.

This clay is gorgeous: so easy to work with and create handbuilt sculptures
This clay has a nice texture and is super easy to work and clean up. Currently I am hand building heads and busts. The clay is just the right consistency and not messy or sticky. My hands do not tire even though I am creating a larger-than-life size head/ bust sculpture (as it will shrink 10 to 15% in the kiln when fired). I highly recommend it.

Delivered quickly but was very dry. Used it for hand building pieces and it tended to crack and dry out very quickly, not as flexible as other clay mixes. I still haven’t used it on the wheel and I’ll post an updated after I’ve had a chance to use it there. Update - Excellent clay on the wheel. Was able to create some large pieces very quickly and without issues. Bottom line for me, yes for Throwing pieces on the wheel, but probably a no for hand-building.

Elevates my work
I really enjoyed using this clay. It has better elasticity than a lot of the other ones that I’ve tried. It fires to be lighter weight than other stoneware that I’ve tried as well. I would consider myself intermediate, but this clay has really elevated my work. I like the name “Dover” on the bag. Shipping was perfect.
