Melitta single serve coffee filters for a perfect drip cup of coffee
We use these single serve coffee filters because they don’t tear, they give a mess free drip every cup of coffee. Our grocery store stopped selling them and we found them on amizon. Our favorite single cup filters.

Single serve reusable coffee with no sludge...
These are great if you don't want the sludge at the bottom of your cup of coffee. I do not use the Java Jig, I prefer my other reusable single serve brew basket/filers. Tip: do not put in the brew cup empty, this causes the paper filter the gap at the sides. I just barely place the center of the paper filter in the brew cup, then add my desired amount of coffee. Next I gently and evenly push it down into the brew cup. Works great. Afterward clean up is a snap. This is exactly what I was looking for and I will purchase repeatedly.

Nice alternative
I did not want to contribute to the landfill waste that is generated by k-cups, nor did I want to use the plastic k-cup that came with my coffee maker. The Melitta is a good alternative. The filters are compostable, and the way the holder is designed allows the water to flow through the hole in the top and out through the bottom, which is lined in paper filter, thus avoiding contact with the plastic. If you overfill it, it sputters a bit but no big deal. The paper filters are easy to install. Just be sure you use espresso grind, or the coffee will not be strong enough.

Works great
I had reviewed the java jig itself and it had filters with it, I had to buy this because it was an "add-on" item. I'm glad I did. The filters don't break or leak, no matter how tight I pack the coffee into my java jig. That was a huge concern when I bought this product. I have used up just about all my filters and plan to order more. It's a great price, and I can find it at retail stores near me, I just prefer to order online if I have other purchases to make on this site.

Improvement on the Javajig
Like most of the others listing reviews, I really like the Javajig. I have used the insert Keurig sells and the Ekocup but this is the best option to the K cup that I have found. I do have one possible improvement. I like my coffee strong and the open bottom on the Javajig allows the coffee to flow through so quickly that the coffee is weaker than I would like. I took a used K cup and pulled off the foil top and the filter on the inside. I then cut about 1/16 inch off the top (just below the molded ridge)(a knife works better than scissors), leaving a small cup with the small hole in the bottom, that was punched by the needle of the Keurig. I put the green Javajig cup inside this cutoff cup and used the Javajig as usual. When placing the Javajig in the Keurig, I just turned it so the hole in the bottom aligned with the needle. (It's easier than it sounds). The coffee stays in the Javajig longer and is stronger (like the K cup) than the Javajig alone. You can wash the cutoff K cup and use it over and over.
