I always used the instant bottled national brands from the grocery store, but for a while there seemed to be a shortage in supply. Our family drinks a lot of iced tea and it was becoming a problem. This led me to look online where I found some really crazy price gouging! I came across Teakihut Tea powder and had my doubts but decided to give it a whirl. The natives were getting restless around here! I have a funny story to tell about making this stuff too strong because I mixed it in the tea pitcher using the same amount as the bottled stuff. Teakihut is a very fine and HIGHLY concentrated powder. I use a level tea spoon or maybe a little less to make a half gallon. Microwave a cup and a half of water and add tea powder and sugar if you want it sweet and blend well, then fill with cold water and pop it in the fridge. It seems to blend very well that way.
