Today the world likes larger dials, Seiko responded with a larger case. The SNZG11J1 has (in decimal .866 ) a 22mm lug set width. **Q: Can this watch be manually wound? Is it hacking, (stops the second hand when the crown is pulled out)?** A: This watch has the 7s26 movement. You cannot wind it manually and it does not have hacking. I dunno about the other responder, but if you wear the watch for 8 hours it should last through the night to next day. If it doesn't, then shake it for a full minute before wearing it. I have an office job and it never ran out for me, but I did occasionally shake it myself because I enjoy the winding sounds. If the watch isn't running, shake it for about 30 seconds, then set the time. Don't set the time between 21:00 and 6:00 (9pm and 6am). **Q: If this is an automatic watch why does it need battery?** A: If the Seller says it takes a battery - then it is not an automatic Seiko 5 Watch.
