I wiped it down to minimize the out-gassing and put it under my keyboard the same day. I’ve been using it only a few weeks, and I’m happy to say that I haven’t smelled any out-gassing for quite a while. It fits pretty well on the pull-out shelf on my computer desk, and it's making a great desk pad. It's comfortable under my arm, and there's no more running off of the edge of my (former) little mouse pad. Worth every penny!
