I've been using my MagicMount to hold my iPhone 6 Plus for several weeks now. It's great: very convenient, solid, and hold the phone securely. I already had a plastic disk mounted to my dash for my old GPS unit. I peeled the liner off the adhesive suction cup on the MagicMount base and stuck it on. It's rock solid and hasn't come loose. I'm not sure if the adhesive will prevent easy removal and reapplication (in a rental vehicle, for instance) but I'll cross that bridge when the time comes. I removed the thin case from my 6 plus, and put the MagicMount's metal disk between the phone and case. I did not use the adhesive on the disk; the snug fit of the case holds the disk in place perfectly. Now, when I hop in the car, I just place the phone up on the magnet and it grabs on. The magnet holds my phone securely, even being a large "heavy" 6 plus. The surface of the magnet also has a grippy rubber section that keeps the phone from slipping or rotating. The only downside (and it's a very small one) is that the "neck" of the mount isn't at rigid or stiff as I'd like - on some roads, the phone has a slight vibration that's slightly visible on the screen. A slightly stiffer neck would have made this practically perfect. I also like that the mount included an extra disk so another device could be attached as well - I use one for my phone and another for my iPad while I'm parked, to Netflix while I eat, etc. After using this one for a week or two, we bought the lower profile version for my wife's car. Highly recommend this mount.

This SCOSCHE magnetic phone mount system is by far the best phone mount I have ever owned - and I have owned dozens and dozens in search of the right one. I am a district manager - and travel 500-600 miles a week, and there are those times (at a red light of course) where you just need to take your phone out of the mount for just a second to see something up close, or to dial a number, or to update your GPS location. With almost every other mount that is a pain in the a** - usually requires two hands, or pulls the mount off the dash because it hold the phone too well. With this system, there are so many options - you can find the exact right one for every possible scenario. I have have different mounts in my car, my wife's car, my "toy" Polaris Slingshot - and now in my mother-in-law's car as well. I also just ordered one of the dash mounts to use on my desk so my phone is always upright and within reach there as well. I have a number of friends who have also purchased since they saw mine. The magnet is just the right strength - it never rattles free even when I am doing some country road driving in the Slingshot - but always easy to take off to use. You can rotate our phone to keep it at any angle for GPS apps, etc. When not on the mount, the little magnetic plate is quote discrete - and if you use a case it works perfect without even sticking it to the back of your phone. Really - I can't say enough good things about this system. Wish I would have thought of it myself!

Ive used other suction mounts and love that this one uses a magnet to secure my iphone 7 plus. The one I had used sticky GOOP and it left a nasty residue all over back of my phone. Was very hard to remove the gunk and it was gross to use it wth out cleaning it first. It was hard to remove from the sticky stuf also. This magnetic one holds safely and well, but is so easy to remove phone, Im in no danger of droping phone when it lets go. WELL worth the price.!! would recommend to all friends and family. I also like that it gives you several options as to how to secure the magnet to your phone or case.

This is a review of the "Window/Dash Mount" version of the product... For the record, I have a Galaxy S4 and use the "Wollony Rugged Hybrid Dual Layer Hard Shell Armor" case for my phone. Overall, the mount does precisely what I need it to do: Hold my phone securely in a single position with minimal movement while I drive. I use Waze for traffic alerts, so having a phone held in a single position with minimal movement is ideal. My previous mount was a vent mount that "gripped" the phone from the sides... And that was not ideal. The setup for the phone is straight forward. I already had a mount on my dashboard from a Garmin GPS unit, so I just used that for placing the suction mount. Between the sticky surface and the suction, it holds very securely. The swivel head allows for a large degree of movement, so placing the mount in the right position is just a bit of work. Once in place, the mount hasn't moved so much as a centimeter. The metal plate for the phone required a bit of trial and error. Initially, I placed the large plate between my phone and phone case. Unfortunately the thickness of the case interfered with the magnetic attraction to the plate, so my phone would slide during my drive. And a large bump would knock the phone completely off. I decided to place the plate on the exterior of the phone case, and the magnetic attraction worked perfectly. The "grip" between phone, phone case, and mount is ideal for keeping the phone level and in a single position during the entirety of my drive. So, the set-up works perfectly for my purposes. The small plate that attaches to the case is a bit too small for my purposes, since the back of my phone case is not perfectly flat, but the large plate works well. Ideally, the manufacturer could offer metallic "strips" that could adhere to smaller spaces on different cases, but that is a minor issue and is largely cosmetic. I also followed other reviews, and made certain to let the large plate "adhere" to my case for 24 hours to ensure that the adhesive wouldn't fail from use. I do not recommend using either plate directly on your phone, and would recommend using it on the case instead. (Replacement plates are available for minimal cost, should you decide to replace the phone case.) Overall, depending on your specific phone and phone case, this is a good dashboard mount. You may have to experiment a bit with the exact arrangement of the plate versus the phone versus the phone case... But I've yet to experience any significant detriment or problems. (If anything changes in the next month, I'll edit my review accordingly.)

I bought a set of these two years ago while at SEMA in Vegas. They have been through extreme heat and cold cycles while installed on our windshields. We have iPhone 7 plus models which are large and heavier than most. Especially with a case attached. These mounts have never failed and the best part is the magnet is on the mount and not your phone. I had Nighteyes brand before which had the magnet attached to your phone. That's great until you get it around your credit cards. Then it sucks! Putting a magnet in your pocket with your wallet nearby spells disaster when you go to use them! These mounts have a thin steel plate that sticks to your phone which does not cause any issues since it is not magnetized. We've put these in every car our family owns so they are always ready when we hit the road. Perfect when using apps such as Waze or other navigations systems. I highly recommend them and at this price, they're hard to beat.

This phone mount is great! I highly recommend this purchase. I deliver for a living and my phone being a tool and not a distraction is a vital part of that. The holder I had previously bought had been of the vent clip variety. Since I also need to have a heavy duty case to protect my phone the weight made it constantly come loose and often fall off. I was able to place the magnet between the plastic case and silicone covering and it worked like a charm. I followed the directions for installation. After waiting an hour it held wonderfully. I had no problems until recently when a streak of hot weather came through. As I was leaving for work one day phone and mount fell off the dash. I was anticipating this as I had read many reviews before purchasing. I didn't have any adhesive residue left on the dash as I had heard in other reviews. (90's not hot enough for that problem?) There was a small amount of hair and dust accumulated around the edge of the cup. I used a damp lint free cloth(polyester) to wipe it clean and wiped down the dash. I put a little water(not enough to leave a puddle) in the suction cup and swiped it around before installing it as I had before. I have had no problems in the weeks since then. I would suggest checking it after it's been closed up in heat or there has been a hot spell. I may try to find a place to put it that receives less direct sunlight but I also need it convenient for work.

I love the brand name. I have purchased different magnets by this company and brand name. However, these particular holders are not worth it.

So yeah, it is a great product, it sticks very well, the magnet is powerfull enough and it works with a variety of case, but my problem began when I wanted to take the mount out of the windshield. I kept the mount for a long time, I'm unsure if it got to a year, without taking it off, where I live, here in Puerto Rico, it always sunny, so I needed to take the mount off and it looks like with the heat and the time it was kept there, it melted the glue. When I took it out, the windshield was covered with the glue resude which is very sticky, I tried cleaning it with windex, alcohol and nail polish remover, the glass is still smugged. I would buy another just because of how tough they are, but I would take precaution taking it out if you live in a hot area.

This is one the strongest and the easiest magnet mobile holder I’ve ever had! It does stick to the window so hard that you can’t easily remove it and hold your mobile in the worst bumpy road. I bought 2 of them for my cars and I love it! Tip: if your mobile case is too thick the magnent is not as strong as you directly stick it to station magnet holder.

I didn't buy this for my mobile phone as I had another application in mind to mount my tobii 4c eye tracker underneath my curved monitor. As you can see from the photo, the magnet in the mount is sufficient to attach one of the tobii mounting strips to and then attach the tobii which is also magnetic to that mounting strip. To say I'm impressed with the strength of the mount is an understatement. My eye tracker is held incredibly firmly and I can't dislodge if from the mount without a lot of force. It's solved a reallyt tricky mounting problem with no modifications to either the eye tracker or the mount. I can imagine that using it with a mobile phone where necessary would be just as good.

I've tested various models & brands but handsdown this has got to be the best valued for money. Moreover I did have another model from Scosche that was mounted via the aircon groves and the magnet is as good as this. This really holds on firmly and does not vibrants like other brands does. Awesome product & no regrets!
