I used these scissors 28 years for wound care, suture removal and some materials used in various types of surgery. They are sharp, and are great for delicate use. NOT for cutting metal, wire of real thick materials. They have an extremely sharp point. The Goldman Fox Scissors are absolutely excellent when used properly and will last a very long time if not abused. I find the curved Goldman Fox scissors most useful for suture removal and small delicate tasks.

Always super sharp and last forever

I had several teeth pulled and some implants placed while overseas in Costa Rica. My dentist told me that they should gradually come out on there own , but if not to just cut them myself. I tried with regular scissors with no luck. Got these from Amazon and they worked really well. I had 2 stitches and both times I managed to cut them fairly easy. These aren't the kind that can just snip the stitches without using the other hand to gently put tension on them while cutting. Both times they cut through the stitches on the 2nd attempt with no pain whatsoever. Never having done this I'd give them a 4 out of 5 as I notice when my dentist has done this she is able to snip my stitches one handed ....but she's a dentist and probably using a pair of very expensive scissors!

A must have for a trauma kit. I would recommend getting these. Never know when you might need them!
