Hi,  we have very recently replaced our very old George Foreman grill with this Tefal unit.  The george Foreman switched off after the required time had been set, the Tefal unit doesn't quite work like this but we really do like this machine, it really is rather clever.  However after cooking should you accidentally leave the machine on it will switch off, the booklet advises around 30 minutes.  Again a point to note it wont be at full heat as the unit also has a cooling feature to keep food warm if used.  Clever old Tefal.  Hope this helps.
