So I have smoked for 4 1/2 years and cold turkey was NOT working out for me. My dad quit smoking about 20 years ago and when I asked him how he quit he said he used LifeSign. Granted its a little different than 20 years ago but the concept is the same. Spending the same amount I would have spent on a carton I ordered the QuitKey and after about two weeks slowly cut down from a pack a day to about 6. And for the first time in years I had ZERO cravings!!! I was able to jump down to one cigarette a day after that and am now going through the blissful state of detoxing my lungs. I can't thank LifeSign enough for getting me through those first two weeks by taking the guessing/calculating out of cutting down. Would recommend this to anyone serious about quitting who doesn't want to go through the hassle of nicotine withdrawal. Affordable and it works! Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and try this out!

All these good reviews must be for the original LifeSign from a couple decades ago because this QuitKey certainly doesn't live up to the hype. I couldn't wait to get my QuitKey. I was so full of hope that maybe this would be the thing that would finally work for me. I started the QuitKey program the very first morning after I received it. I followed the QuitKey program exactly, only had 2 cheat smokes in 3 weeks, and when I got down to Day 7, it would buzz at me when I pushed the smoke button (just like it does when you have a smoke before you're supposed to). Problem was.... the time had gone down to 0:00 and the smoke sign was on, so I should have been able to smoke and hit the smoke button and continue. I didn't smoke when I wasn't supposed to but because the QuitKey malfunctioned, I got penalized anyway and ended up having to repeat Day 7. It did the same thing when I finally got to Day 6. Thinking it was just a minor glitch, I hit the reset button and started the program over -- a few days on Stage 1 and then on to Stage 2. Again, I followed the program exactly. Everything was going well. Got down to Day 10 and it did it again. QuitKey said it was OK to smoke but when I hit the smoke button it buzzed instead of beeped and I got penalized for cheating when I didn't cheat and had to repeat the day. It did this every day and not one time was I cheating when it said I was. It was so aggravating and demoralizing to have to repeat days because of this stupid little machine screwing up that I ended up shutting it off. Go through the program. Do what you're supposed to do. And when the damn thing malfunctions it's already too late to return it for a refund. Nice scam LifeSign. I suppose if this thing worked properly it could help break habits and reprogram your brain to not "need" that cigarette and help people quit. But I considered this my last chance. In the last 30 years I've tried everything else numerous times. Probably tried to quit smoking 200 times in my life. I should have just spent that 60 bucks on cigarettes.

I used a similar product years ago called Lifesign (or Lifestyle... or something). I'm happy to say it worked and I'm still smoke free. When a friend of mine decided to quit smoking I found QuitKey. He went through the entire program and is now 4 months smoke-free after 30 years of smoking! He admits he still has cravings every now and then, a known fact to anyone who has quit, but they aren't to the point where he actually wants to start again. This program "weans" you off the addiction a little at a time to make it a lot easier. When you are use to smoking every 15 minutes and you suddenly realize you are going an hour, or 2 hours between cigarettes it motivates you to continue. You will be so proud of yourself you will be telling your family, your friends, maybe ever strangers you meet waiting for the bus! It makes a great gift so buy one for yourself and someone you love. TIP: You can't stop smoking until you are ready. So buy this when you are ready and use it! It works! You can to do this just like millions of new non-smokers have.

This is a decent product to help quit but has a few flaws. It's easy to accidentally hit the button unintentionally which screws with your custom stop smoking program. Also you need a bit of self control to make it to that next step. It would be nice to be able to use it as many time as you need to quit smoking but I can see the reason they limit it to two tries before it becomes non-functional. (People would sell their old ones then and cost the company a lot of business then.) Honestly, a better solution would be to make this an app for your smart phone that you could buy additional uses for a steep discount if you need them. The price is a bit steep, but the product works if you stick to it. It is a difficult program to stick to if you are on a set work schedule where you can only take a break at a determined time. If you are a truck driver or someone that can take a smoke break when it tells you to smoke then this would be a great way to stop smoking without any drugs or phoney crap that is out there.

This product works as advertised and will work for some smokers. However, I found it difficult to stay with the program. You still have to have the drive, motivation, and desire to quit by following the program. My Doctor advised me I had three weeks to quit smoking and quit caffiene! I ended up retiring the device and used Nicotine Snus to quit. Cons: The alarm notification needs to be much louder or must be clipped to your belt loop so you can hear when it's time to smoke. If you cheat too much, the device starts your next day at the previous level. Please note: The device only allows you to use it's program twice and then you will have to purchase a replacement.

After only 2 days of use my QuitKey started having problems. When it came time for the QuitKey to beep and tell me when to smoke..It never beeped! I think for $60.00 it was cheaply made, and that's to bad as I think it would of been a good tool to help smokers quit. I would not recommend this product.

This product malfunctioned and would not reset within a week of delivery

I can't use it .It is set at stage 2. Original Lifesighns purchased 35 years ago worked from day one. The Amazon products never worked and were not packed with Styrofoam like the original. One came with dead battery and one came with good battery but neither one worked.

I ordered this product only to be profoundly disappointed. Bad one I ordered on previously that did not work, the information on the screen was not visible. I ordered a second one the same problem, the same problem. Unfortunately it did not occur to me to return to Amazon but tried to go through the manufacturer. Who totally blew me off This is a defective product don't order it

Works perfect, but you must change the battery BEFORE starting the cycle. It got 3 stars because of this.

Used the device to quit smoking. I found that by showing how long before next cigarette left the thought of a long way to go.
