## Description

Victor TurboTorch 0386-0814 245-03P Regulator Nitrogen Certified features nitrogen purging: When brazing copper, it is imperative to purge with nitrogen in order to minimize or eliminate oxidation that results from heating the copper pipe. Without purging, oxidation will occur and the oxidized flakes that result can and will break off and flow through the system, damaging bearings and fouling system filters. All that is needed is a low pressure, low volume flow of nitrogen. The use of dry nitrogen gas also minimizes the need to evacuate moisture from the system. The process for this regulator is Oxy-Acetylene Components and is for use on high capacity and HVAC applications. The range for the gauges is 600 to 4,000 PSIG and the delivery range is from 0-500 PSIG.

Review: Very high quality - I used this to attach to a nitrogen bottle for a shock filling setup. Along with a couple of additional connectors, I built a nice setup that will serve me for years. The valve assembly seems to be of a very high quality and sturdy.
Review: Good - Just what I needed . But there is one little issues the top cover have small cracks I don’t know if this supposed to be like that or the cracks might get worse other then that this gauges work fine .

A: Don't be confused bythe name.  Turbo torch is the manufacturer and this item is a nitrogen gas regulator.  Dry nitrogen bottels are pressurised to over 2000 psi when new and that pressure is way above what is normally needed or safe to work with.  This regulator allows you to set the output pressure between 0 and 600 psi allowing you to use your nitrogen cylinder to be used for jobs like nitrogen purging or pressure testing in HVAC systems.

Works as it should. If you flow nitrogen while brazing, you’ll need to look elsewhere though.
