I’ve used this product on previous tops and ordered again because it works well. I’m sure there are other products that may be of a higher quality, but why spend unnecessarily? I used a 1 1/2” forstner bit to cut the hole and these fit perfectly. For a surface, where I wanted a finished upper and lower appearance, I cut some of the throat off of two of these and inserted them top and bottom, where they met perfectly. Great product for the price.

Quick and easy to install and makes for a nice, neat look.

We needed a couple of these grommets to allow wires to go between the computers in our built-in desk kneeholes and the monitors, keyboard, and mouse on the desktop. While we only needed 2, I figure we can share with others or perhaps use others to neatly bring cords up from within other built-ins. This product appeared to be the best value for the money. We purchased a 1.5" Forstner bit to drill the hole, mainly because we wanted to avoid damaging the desktop surface (as hole saws do). The grommets fit perfectly into the holes, snug enough to not easily move. I noticed that others who reviewed the product found it to be small compared with their 1.5" holes. This wasn't the case for ours, perhaps because of the bit we used.

Overall, the product is fine, however they are a little smaller than the hole they tell you to drill, so they will move and rattle if left like that. We easily solved the problem by wrapping black electrical tape around the base of the caps to make them fit more snugly into the holes. Also, one of our caps arrived damaged, but luckily we only needed 9, so it worked out for us.

These things are amazing. They are great for anyone that wants to make a nice clean hole in the middle of their desk (or anywhere else for that matter) and keep it nice, clean, and perfectly fit; this is your product. It fits a 1 inch wood hole beautifully. I was afraid that the hole would be too big; but it was 100 on the money. However, for those with devices like Razer Keyboards or similar USB/Thunderbolt and other peripherals; be careful. Some devices have rather large wire junction / anti-interference (shielding, ect) may be just slightly too large to fit into the grommet. Remember that in the perfect diameter it is 1 inch; however, it is a circle and most devices have a width as well. Anyway, my stupid mistake that was very easily fixed with a razer and some careful shaving of plastic. LOL ... Otherwise, look beautiful. Above picture was before cleaning and coloring the hole (too fast of a drill will rip your wood's nice shiny covering). Will include pictures if I remember after I clean it and paint it. Should be pretty nice. T

After reading reviews on this, and similar products, I decided on this one as it appeared to be a good value. As several reviews also mentioned problems with the size, which I suspected were actually tools they were using to drill the holes, I also ordered a Freud Forstner bit (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AV72W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I have found the Freud bits to be excellent quality and always precise. After receiving both I drilled a test hole in 3/4" cabinet grade plywood and tried all 10 of the grommets. All 10 had to be seated all the way down to be firm, but all 10 were snug, but not too snug when fully seated. If you were feeding multiple cables through the hole I can see how a plug could snag and pop the grommet out. to avoid that, I would use construction adhesive to secure the grommets in the hole. However, I will just seat them fully unless problems occur in use. They are made of a plastic that seems to be the typical plastic used in many cabinet grommets. Not as durable as stainless steel or metal, but a whole lot cheaper. Overall, I am pleased with these grommets and caps.

I don't normally like to give 3 stars but here's the deal ... these grommets are nice - they look good and function well to keep your wires looking tidy. However, it's advertised (as they all are) that it is 50 mm (2 inches) wide. It is actually about 1 7/8 inches (see pic), which if you are installing it on a flat horizontal surface really isn't a problem. If it is being used on a vertical surface it will NOT stay in place. So to make it fit I had to use about three to four wraps of heavy duct tape material. If you're ok with that lack of measurement tolerance then these won't bother you. If you're a perfectionist ... try something else. Now I have 10 of them!

These things are great. I did a full "Pimp my Ride" update to an older motorhome, and I used these in several places. I added surround sound, a 50" TV that is "hidden" behind the kitchen seat and then servo's up, a new stereo, outdoor and indoor speakers, two Li Power banks, USB ports all over the place, and lots of LED lights. These are especially good when you need to run a cable with a plug or some type of receptacle on the end that is larger than the cable. I attached some pictures to show one I used for the plug to a surge protector (Front & backside of feedthrough).

Malheureusement le produit n'est pas celui attendu, j'ai des perçages de diamètre 25mm dans du MDF le produit a un diamètre de 25mm mais avec de ailettes qui amènent à 26mm sauf à faire renter en force l'œillet. Dans tous les cas impossible de l'enlever sans le détruire.
