Yes, this little computer gadget does a GREAT job of backing up my programs. It takes a while in the initial backup but after that it doesn't take as long. Its small and easy to store. I remember the first back-up system "Maxtor" that was cumbersome. Click free is easy to use!

I do not recommend it. I lost my money.At the beginning it worked perfect... for around 1 month. Then I started having issues with the software. I plugged the back up drive to the computer and nothing happened. I uninstalled and re-installed the software... and the same thing...no back ups were made.Currently I am not using it ... so I am paying a back up service through the internet with another company because this $150 Click Free device is not working.PS:. I use a Dell XPS Laptop, Windows 8.1, 16 MB RAM.

It backs up my hard drive but customer support is at best inadequate; at worst, non existent with hours that are laughable. The website with FAQ's is also not much help.The "photofinder" feature keeps sending me "update available" but when activated it appears to download and install only to have the same message repeated with the download and install all over again. The photfinder icon opens but does NOTHING!I'm definitely not a fan of this product. Probably should have purchased another Seagate.Updating this review: the original comments are still valid AND in addition several times the backup screen opens and then says it has a problem and can't continue. It has several times hung my computer. Often it does NOT show as a device and therefore cannot be activated. When I can wake it up it takes forever to load.Bottom line is I really don't know if I have a backed up computer or not. I would send this thing back in a heart beat if I could get my money back. Those who are very positive with this one must have the magic touch cause this thing sure doesn't work for me.

Having been given a Clickfree several years ago as a Christmas present, I misplaced the accompanying cord, so couldn't use the original. Bought this new smaller version that works well and does what I need it to do. Good storage.

Does exactly what is advertised it would do and with one click of the button. I haven't had to use the reinstall feature yet. Am going to try to pull pictures from an old computer so hopefully that aspect works as advertised as well.Update on 8/4/2015. I LOVE this product!!! I recently downloaded Windows 10 and it completely hosed up my computer. I was upgrading Windows 7 Home. The computer had to be flattened and everything reinstalled. HP Repair reinstalled Windows 7 Home but my C6 repaired and reinstalled everything just as advertised. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat! It just saved me hours of reinstalling programs, settings, etc. Not to mention all of the photos, documents and games! The program took about 4 to 5 hours to reimagine my computer and load everything. It is as if Windows 10 never happened. I am truly thinking about getting Apple products in the future!

If you want to back up your entire PC hard drive photos whatever this is a must if it's worth the money so don't feel around one of that other crap that just backs up your photos get this one that way your hard drive is backed up your photos but music is booked everything is backed up if you don't get it and you lose your PC well let your problem not mine that's it wlj fla

I bought this product in 2015 and used it successfully with Windows 10 since then, until, a couple months ago, it ceased to backup all except about 130 files. Nothing I did, including changing the USB ports that it was plugged into, corrected the issue. I've been dealing with Mainframe and Desktop computers for over 4 decades, so hardware problems are no strangers to me. This product, however, has all the earmarks of being produced by a fly-by-night operator. I have had no success in trying to identify a contact number or address for the manufacturer's support department. In addition, Amazon is quiet on the matter except for an occasional notation like "discontinued" or "not available at this time. Don't know when it will be available again." The number of complaints, both on Amazon and on the web generally is sufficiently high for Amazon to take an aggressive approach to contacting the manufacturer and demanding both an explanation of their lax support efforts and a solution for those Amazon customers who have been "stuck" with a loser. I paid $119.00 to buy this item, so I don't consider it a "throwawayClickfree Automatic Backup C6 2 TB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive."

Have recommended this product to many people... I've had a total computer crash at various times on both laptop and desktop and using the first clickfree that I bought years ago. It restored my computer all programs and files... just lost recent stuff I work on... Always remember to BACKUP your computer or laptop on a regular bases. I just bought this clickfree C6 as a gift for a friend.. Highly recommend.
