I've only had this a couple of months, so I don't know how it will hold up, but it works great for me. It's not a necessity for yogurt-making, but by holding a steady optimal temperature it produces very reliable results compared to the methods I was using before to develop the yogurt. Be aware that your yogurt might be done more quickly when you use this.The only thing I slightly dislike is that the containers inside are plastic. If you prefer not to eat food from heated plastic, I found that it worked fine to use a quart glass jar inside.

I am taking a star off for poor customer care. I have the other Dash yogurt maker, I loved it and decided to buy this one.The strainer started to wear out after very few uses and this particular model is taking more time and holding less temperature compared to the earlier model. So, I contacted the customer care by email, I received a reply after a month, asking me for the details of purchase to start a warranty claim. I replied to their response and never heard from them again. I wrote them a couple of more times before my warranty expired. I never heard from them after their initial response.I am taking another star off for the quality of the strainer. It can be made better.

I bought this item in order to make more yogurt at one time than I could with the dash bulk yogurt maker and have made half a dozen batches of yogurt with this. It works well and my yogurt is consistently just as I like it. The containers hold more than the strainer so I make six cups of yogurt at a time. The strainer works well, but does not hold six cups of yogurt so I strain most of it and then add the rest from the container. Takes a few minutes more but I am very happy with it.

I ordered one for me and I loved it so much I ordered the second one as a birthday gift for my daughter. We both use them constantly. Neither of us have eaten store bought yogurt since we started making our own. Will be buying one for my granddaughter for her birthday next.

I love this little machine. Make yogurt 1-2x per week. Easy to strain and turn into Greek Yogurt. I find 1 hour is sufficient for straining. Any longer than that results in VERY thick yogurt. Found if I DON'T stir the yogurt as it is heating, it results in smoother yogurt.

I like this one way better than the little jars. I love Yogurt and this way I can make it out of organic whole milk with absolutely no additives. Works great, love it and would buy it again.

I never made yogurt before. Making my own it better than store bought and less sugar.I had fruit and some Truvia sweetener. Love it.I make my yogurt weekly.
