Crossed my fingers that the main heating element was the cause and nothing more. Watched video before installing and I was a bit intimidated with having to breakdown practically the entire unit to get to the heating element but it was actually a very easy process. I spent just over an hour to complete repair, by myself (51 years young female) including vacuuming and wiping down the inside. Dryer is back up and running perfectly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dryer Works Again! *by H***Y on May 5, 2020* Our dryer was shutting off way to early all of the sudden, and throwing codes so my husband did research to find this is what went out. He called a parts store about an hour away to buy a replacement and they refused to sell him the part on the basis that it might not actually be the heating element that failed, but a part on the heating element and sold as a unit with the heating element, meaning we’d still have to buy the heating element to fix the problem anyway. Thankfully, he found this one on Amazon. Not only was it a little less expensive, but it fixed the issue perfectly. My husband really enjoyed taking apart our dryer and finding out how simple the machine really is. ### ⭐ Turn your Error 64 into an Error 63 with this poorly built part *by E***Y on November 5, 2019* Had E 64 -- One of the 3 heating elements was bad after 11 years.After reading all the reviews, this part had only 30% 1 star reviews saying it failed after a short time. Less expensive parts from other sellers averaged 50% 1 start reviews, also reporting failure after a short time. I needed the dry fixed quick and so I spent extra for a "Genuine" part and hoped I would get a good one.Replaced with this and 2 minutes later had E 63 -- heating element shorted with chassis. I took apart the dryer and tested with my voltmeter and confirmed that two of the three coils on the new Heater were shorted with the chassis.I paid twice as much for this "Genuine" part. What a rip off. Fortunately I was able to bend the heater coil enough to keep it from shorting with the frame and get the dryer going. Six loads so far without further problems.
