Excellent all in one product!
I've been using this on my 3500 lbs single axle travel trailer for over a year now, and it works awesome. The sway control is a huge help, especially because the single axle trailer would sway a lot while driving. With this system attached, it is so much better, I could not be happier! I keep it lubed up with a few shots of grease here and there, which is easy to do with the lube zerks, and I just use a finger to physically put a little grease on the metal ball detents. It was easy enough to install (took me about an hour) and is higher off the ground than the other chain models. This makes it very easy to get in and out of the driveway without scrapping the ground. With this system, the low spot for ground clearance is the actual part that hooks up into the back of your truck, so if your truck is low on ground clearance from the back, you might have trouble getting in and out of the driveway. For me, this was an all in one awesome purchase (sway control, weight distribution, bobbing control) and I would buy it all over again. The only thing I will say is this looks to be a bit of a lighter duty system than most others. This is fine for me, as my trailer is only 3500 lbs. Keep this in mind before purchasing. If you have a heavy duty trailer, buy a heavy duty system. If you're anywhere close to the 10,000 lbs weight limit it states, go up and get a heavier duty one. This is a good rule of thumb for just about anything with towing. This would also explain why some of these other idiot reviewers broke their systems. That and don't do a 90 degree turn with this on ur rig. If you need to do some crazy maneuvers, just remove the bars and put them back on after (it only takes a couple minutes). UPDATE: It’s 2022 and still going strong. Last year I even sold my single axle 3500 lbs trailer and now have a 6500 lbs double axle trailer. Everything still works like the day I bought it. New trailer is higher off the ground so I flipped the L-bracket and installed myself again. Curt just makes great products.

Excellent Hitch when installed properly
Excellent Hitch! but a little heavy when installing in the receiver hitch. If you read through some of the other reviews, you will see that people are either not installing the hitch properly or not loading their trailer incorrectly and blaming it on the hitch. When you load too much weight in the rear of a trailer it will sway, it just physics people... We have had no issues with this hitch and no sway, plus very true tracking with complete control at all times. Our trailer is a Black Label 23 footer and weighs around 8,000lbs. When we load dirt bikes in the truck and water for boondocking we are probably around 10k. We got the 10-15k hitch and glad I did as it is perfect. We have had this for around a year now with about 10,000 miles so far and the only wear I am seeing is the L brackets for the tension rods as the rods do sit on these and are metal to metal contact for friction. I think this may be a wear item that will need to be replace every other year or so, or if they start wearing through too much. Pictures included. I'm a professional mechanic so I have all the tools and torque wrenches to install this, plus the knowledge. I have had many rv trailers and sway bar systems and this is one of the best so far. But if you do not possess tools or knowledge to install this properly, I would recommend that you take it to someone you trust to do so or a professional. As you can see in the negative reviews there are several people that have no clue what they are doing, because if you have trailer sway after installing this beast then you did something wrong or are loading your trailer incorrectly. In conclusion, a great hitch with only one issue so far, see pictures, the wear of the angle brackets down to bare metal, but these are replaceable wear items, and I am ordering new ones for this summer's travels. You cannot lubricate this part as it relies on friction to operate correctly, so the rust you see isn't a big deal as it rubs off quickly after connection. I would also imagine after a few years that the tension bars would need to be replaced.

Over built and well designed.
This is a quality piece of gear. Well designed and well built. Installation was as to be expected. If you do it right it takes some time, but the result is a rig that tows reliably with a great degree of stability. One positive note that doesn't have to do with the product, but rather service. My assembly showed up with the snap-up handle missing. It probably slid out through the end of the carton which was damaged. I called Curt and spoke to Nate. Even though I bought the unit through a third party vendor on Amazon, Curt shipped me a new handle free of charge. Most surprising was it arrived in 36 hours. Incredible.

This hitch works really well for reducing sway. I was a bit skeptical when I ordered it, but am so glad I did. Towing the holiday trailer is no longer a white knuckle experience.

Well built, easy to install. Allowed me to pull a 5500 lbs dry travel trailer very comfortably with a GMC Canyon.

This was relatively easy to install and is very heavy duty. Should work well.

I previously used a traditional equalizer hitch on my trailer. Unfortunately the trailer had lots of sway from winds and passing larger trucks on the highway. Switched to the trutrack and the difference is huge. Eliminates almost all the sway and tows very solid and straight. I tow my holiday trailer through everything from open prairies to the mountains. Highly recommend this product.
