Great amp
If you need a good practice amp or a lightweight quick backup at a gig this is perfect. It cuts like ti should and is very versatile with pedals in front of it. Great little amp in a box!

Compact and reasonably priced
Using for a recording application and does work fairly well. Low noise, clean signal.

Impressive little amp!
Scrap my previous review! This is an impressively good sounding amp, in every way! It's a little like a well tuned tripath amp, for bass. The eq settings work well with paper cone speakers. It powers 2x12" cabs just fine, with enough volume for anything short of live play. The sound of this amp, sounds pristine. Well balanced lows and highs! It produces a great tone out of the box, but add some bass, cut some mids, and add some treble, and a sweet slap tone is dialed in! The chorus helps with some melody-ing. The tone is great, but you'll only feel the bass, with the low cranked up, the master at max, and the gain set to hit just under distortion. The distortion is well managed. It's a soft distortion. Occasionally there are blips of hard distortion, but the amp intelligently seems to adjust so it won't happen again. My only complaint would be old school fingerstyle, rear pickup funk, it doesn't do. In fact, much like many class D amps, they aren't able to handle any mid boost at all! Dial the mids past 2, and the amp starts distorting. As long as the polarity is correct, this amp will work fine between 12V to 24V, 18V being exactly in the middle. Anything below 12V will reduce peak power handling, and anything below 10V will reduce volume. And below like 9 to 9.7V, it'll just cut out. Overall, this amp is phenomenal! I just wished they could create a same quality amplifier, with 10x the output wattage (if possible 250-300W per channel). Even if this amp had 2 channels, essentially doubling the output, it would have helped those who wished to run 2 cabs from it.

great buy
honestly, i didn't want to buy an expensive head right out of the gate. i wanted something with positive reviews and on the cheap side. this product does the job. i don't simply plug and play. i have a Boss ME-50B multi-effects pedal (i highly recommend this piece) between bass and head, which i use as a kind of pre-amp. meaning i can raise the values on it and keep the head about halfway. still get a great tone with this configuration. furthermore, the chorus on the head is a nice touch. means i don't have to set a chorus on the ME-50B. for a cabinet i run it to a Hartke 4x10 stack. after screwing around with it and the ME-50B i finally have everything sounding good. to think that i get a great sounding tone from a piece of equipment in such a small, condensed head. i recommend this for anyone looking for a way of lightening your load when gigging/jamming.

This is the one
I have a Travel Guitar and wanted something to spruce up the sound. I tried a few others like micro effects and a few others. This one works like you want it clean to whatever. Where the others just donโt cut it. Easy to operate greatfor what I wanted. ๐๐ผ

What cab simulator?
From the reviews I read, I expected a bit more power, and the idea of a built in cab simulator would be useful in the studio. It put out a bit of usable power using my 4 ohm 2x10 Cab (Eminence B102's 8 ohm), but I bought the amp to use w/ my 8 ohm 1x10 cab w/ horn (Celestion Pulse w/ PRV WG270ph). I figure it put out about 5W RMS. Not even loud enough for a personal monitor at band practice, and the only way to get volume out of it was to 10 the gain - too much distortion. As far as Cab Simulator, there is none, period. Not even a print out of amp settings to simulate a ? cabinet sound. Too little power for a little bass amp. If it was 20W RMS at 8 ohms, I think I could live with it. For $70 more, I'm going to try the TC 200BAM, that has a DI out to the PA.

worked well for 2 months then output suddenly stopped functioning
I very much enjoyed this product and would love to give a good review, but conking out less than 3 months of light use is not cool.

As advertised
I needed something I could use to feed into a mixer for practicing with headphones and playing along with recordings. This did the trick. It is very well made and solid. A great piece of electronics for a good price. Highly recommend this if you need to practice quietly or just need a small amplifier.
