I've been using couch cushions that imitate the bent-leg cushions, but it only helped a little. My wife suggested the wedge shape so my legs were actually at an angle, not just elevated and parallel. The wedge has helped tremendously. My legs are back to their non-puffy shape and they don't swell nearly as much during the day now either, even if I'm camped out on my computer working from home all day.This wedge is comfortable, high enough to actually elevate and get my legs above my heart, and it has a removable cover, so it doesn't have to live smelling like my feet. And it's versatile, not just a leg wedge. I love putting it behind my back and propping up to read with it.The only con is, at least for me, I end up pushing the thing off the bed a little too easily. It could just be how I sleep and not indicative of the product, so it's not really a con, just something to look out for if you like to play soccer in your sleep. I contacted customer service and they were incredibly prompt and efficient at addressing the issue. Within 3 days I had a new product (and didn't have to return the old one which is great since once out of it's vacu-seal package it would have required a huge box) and it works exactly like it's supposed to. It filled out, and is quite comfortable to sleep on. The shorter wedge I had been using was wreaking havoc on my shoulders, but this comes down to my lower middle back and doesn't cause pain. It also helps what may be apnea (I'll find out after a sleep study soon) and I've been able to sleep for longer periods of time using it. Stacking up pillows has become uncomfortable so I did some research and compared different pillows and their prices and this one came up the better option. I really like the dimension of this pillow, with the length of 28 inches this is by far the longest. Most of other ones I've look at are just around 22-25 inches. Now the height is supposedly 12 inches but I've measured and you can see in the photos that it's off by 1 inch. Despite that this is still one of the bigger wedge pillows out there. The foam is comfortably firm and does not sink. It came vacuum-packed and rolled up so I had to let it breathe for 2 days before using it. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
