I haven’t purchased Roma Uomo in over 10 years, but the very first bottle I purchased of this was probably in 1996 or ‘97 while I was on a military deployment traveling thru Spain and Germany! When I first opened the bottle, I instantly knew that this was a winner! It had a very different smell from the fragrances I was used to wearing in the U.S., and everywhere I went, people would compliment me on it. I would go to the same cafeteria while in Spain and when I walked in, I would see one of the Spanish servers frantically looking all around until he spotted me and then give me the thumbs up when he saw me because he smelled the scent and knew that I was standing somewhere in line wearing the fragrance!. He asked me a few days earlier on what fragrance was I wearing and I told him that it was called Roma! When I got back to the States, I was the only person in my area wearing this fragrance and would get nonstop compliments on it as I don’t think that it had either hit the U.S. market yet, or wasn’t widespread at the time! I bought Roma Uomo and Minotaure at the same time. Both of them were some very nice and interesting scents, but the Roma scent lasted much longer than the Minotaure making it my “go to” night scene cologne! It literally has a European, Italian fragrance unlike the fragrances you normally come across in America! I still have a little bit left from my very first bottle but have used probably 2 other bottles of it since then. I have purchased several different kinds of colognes from Laura Biagiotti and have been very happy with all of them as they all have a very distinct Italian scent than the American cologne market. I don’t understand people who would give this scent less than a four. But hey, you can’t please everybody! There are people out here that will give Dunhill Desire Red a one or a two on a scale of one to five when I get a lot of women coming up to me asking me, “What am I wearing?” because they love it so much. But if you like to showboat and standout from the crowd, get Roma Uomo!

Nice scent. Lasts well. Not overpowering. Classic.

I ordered Roma Uomo because it had been compared to Paloma Picaasso's Minotaure, some reviews saying they were nearly identical. They are NOT! Not even close, in my opinion. Maybe my sense of smell has been affected by Covid, or maybe those reviews and comparisons are completely wrong. Minotaure has a rich, sweet, woody, spicy and masculine aroma. Roma Uomo is a stronger, almost bold scent of citrus and spice. I'm not saying it smells bad, but it's not at all what I expected. It's not how I want to smell. I'm extremely disappointed.

Ich liebe es verschiedene Düfte auszuprobieren und zu tragen, da gibt es für jeden Anlass oder sogar für jede Jahreszeit was. „Roma Uomo“ von LAURA BIAGIOTTI ist das, was ich einen typischen Frühlings- oder Sommerduft nennen würde. Tatsächlich trage ich den nur in diesen Jahreszeiten, weil er mit seiner fruchtigen und frischen Note perfekt passt. Das Schöne daran ist, dass „Roma Uomo“ zwar sehr intensiv riecht und sehr lange anhaltend ist, aber nie aufdringlich oder gar unangenehm ist. Die fruchtige Frische kommt von der Rosa Grapefruit, die die Kopfnote dominiert, den maskulinen Akzent setzt der Duft von Moos. Vanille und Sandelholz sorgen für einen Hauch von „Sinnlichkeit“ …... sagt meine Frau! 😉 Apropos Frau ….. die klaut ab und zu auch mal meinen Duft und wenn ich ehrlich bin, rieche ich ihn auch gerne an ihr. Insofern kann man schon fast behaupten, dass „Roma Uomo“ sowas wie ein „Unisex-Duft“ ist. Gut finde ich auch, dass „Roma Uomo“ kein Eau de Toilette aus dem ganz oberen Preissegment ist und trotzdem qualitativ sehr hochwertig ist. Der Flakon ist optisch sehr schön gestaltet, erinnert vom Stil her an die Bauwerke des alten Rom und ist sehr dekorativ. Es gibt viele unhandliche Flakons, dieser hier ist sehr zweckmäßig. Mein Fazit: Ich finde „Roma Uomo“ sehr angenehm und unaufdringlich, es ist für mich ein fruchtiger Sommerduft, der eine große Wirkung zu einem angemessenen Preis erzielt. Es ist ein Herrenduft, der aber auch von Frauen getragen werden kann, was an der fruchtigen Note in Verbindung mit Vanille und Sandelholz liegt. Ich trage ihn schon seit vielen Jahren und kann ihn nur empfehlen.
