If, like me, you prefer a knitted glove, you can hardly do better than these gloves, designed for the military in frosty winter. They are rather heavy and almost windproof. There is nothing decorative about them; they are utilitarian, designed for everyday use. We've not yet had really cold weather (below 20 degrees F), and I may have to switch when it arrives. But I have real confidence that these will stand up well. Note that the gloves are not distinguished right and left; they're interchangeable.

These fit as expected, are warm enough for my moderate climate, and were not terribly expensive.  Haven't worn them long enough to assess durability but for the price, if they last one winter they are still fine.
