The charger that came with the monitor worked perfectly fine for almost the entire first year that we had it, when it was under warranty. After some time, however, the charger would not charge unless placed just so, and even the slightest movement would cause it to move and not charge the monitor. After reading the reviews, it appears many others have had the same problem. I got this replacement charger in the mail yesterday, and as a previous reviewer stated, it "clicks" into the monitor, and charges it exactly how it is supposed to. It is a snug fit, so no need to worry about it getting knocked out or moved out of place. I finally have peace of mind after getting this charger. I would highly recommend to anyone with the Samsung SafeView monitor. After a trip during the winter, my monitor and camera started to fail while the monitor was plugged. This is exactly what happened with the original adapters in the first place, after the exact same trip, so can't blame these ones for that.Since they worked fine before, I ordered a second pair (using my previous order), but this time I got something very different (see attached images). They even have a different brand (Ablegrid), different Amps, and like half the cord length, and an adapter.
