New Republic Men's Ellroy Canvas Sneaker - White

This is the first time I bought from the brand and this pair of sneakers is one of my favorite casual shoes. I have worn them a lot and with a full day of walking (in Brooklyn) and this is what I like best: - Super comfortable to the point of being able to walk a full day (with or without socks). Does not feel tight nor loose, good balance. - Big fan of the clean style with the red/blue color on the heel. Looks great with jeans and shorts. - I generally have leather shoes, but I really like the canvas material of these shoes, very breathable. - Incredible price, basically a no-brainer for me to buy. Will definitely look at other products from the brand, and maybe even buy another pair of these same sneakers (since white color does get dirtier). Highly recommended.

For $40 it is well worth it! I usually wear the all white vans, but wanted something a little different/business casual. These shoes fit the bill. I am not a fan of the stripes in the back, but they are in the back so it really doesn’t hinder the appearance of the shoe. Shoe fits to size, is comfortable enough, maybe not as comfortable as my vans, but I have not broken them enough to truly compare. One note..they are slightly off-white, not as white as I was expecting but close enough. Actually bought my first pair of shoes off New Republic Website, but they are out of stock so bought a second pair here. I figure for the price, if I like them I can have a spare when one starts to show wear and tear! Overall, pleasantly surprised in the shoe for the price point it is at.

Nice, basic canvas sneakers. Good clean looks that pair well with shorts, jeans or a pair of chinos. A welcome throwback to a simpler time: my youth. Only complaint was that the size 10 I ordered was just a little small. I returned it for a 10.5 which is a little loose but a pair of insoles has taken care of that. All-in-all, I’m very happy with these and look forward to purchasing another pair in a different color.

I have to say that if they fit "comfortably" then don't think twice. Better that Van's, and just as comfortable as Sperry. I wanted so very much to keep these. Alas, in it's defense and virtually "all" fashion sneakers, they just aren't meant to be for the regular guy, but could be if additional widths were added and maybe corner the niche market for regular widths. I just bought from Amazon the Sketchers Melson-Raymon in 11-1/2 Medium width, and Snauk HiFive in 11-1/2 Medium width. They were both more than 1/4" wider!!! that the New Republic 11-1/2 Extra Width !!!!

UPDATE 8/2021: The shoes have started to fall apart in ways that are irreparable (the sole is separating from the upper and there are holes in the upper fabric). I use these shoes only every now and then during summer only so I would have expected them to last longer. Original review: These shoes are amazingly comfortable, breathable, and they look great in that they don't have many obvious logos or patterns on them. If you're looking for a basic white comfortable and stylish (imo) sneaker, these are excellent. They fit true to size as well.

For many years I purchased a top skaters sneek. Recently that shoe has lost the quality in padding. I was fortunate to find this pair which resembles the older quality snd comfort of the top brand. AND ITS MUUCH MORE REASONABLE IN ITS PRICING.

These shoes r amazing! I wear them with skinny sweats or skim fit jeans with the ankles exposed and no socks ... great look for south Florida where I live ...., Totally recommend because they r super comfortable and r exactly as advertised... A+++

still waiting on product to be shipped over a week now. Sneakers look good in pics but can't say because i paid for it but for some reason it hasn't been shipped.
