Capezio's Juliet ballet shoe is top notch when it comes to a breathable, comfortable feel. Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. Review: Great ballet slippers - These are great ballet shoes. Not sure why the photo has the elastic not sewn. the Elastic is already attached. My daughter loves these shoes, they accentuate her arch and she feels very comfortable in them. She can go 3-4 hours in a master class and they are not tight. The sizing is a bit confusing. We did go to Capezio store to try her very first pair on ages ago and ever since then I just get half a size up when her foot grows. Her regular size is 5 and I had to get these in size 6.5M. so its 1.5 size up for her. She's been wearing this particular shoe for 2.5 years already, they are great!

These are great ballet shoes. Not sure why the photo has the elastic not sewn. the Elastic is already attached. My daughter loves these shoes, they accentuate her arch and she feels very comfortable in them. She can go 3-4 hours in a master class and they are not tight. The sizing is a bit confusing. So happy I was able to find good quality capezios on Amazon!!! Gone are the days when you have to go to the dance store to get shoes. Just like the ones from when I was a young dancer. Only thing is these run super small, I usually wear a 6.5-7 and had to buy a size 8.

This is a good basic shoe. I wish the straps weren’t pre sewn as they are not in the right spot for my feet but that’s easily fixable. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 in shoes. I originally was gifted an 8.5 and they were way too small so I went up to a 9 and they were still a little snug. It’s important for the leather bottom to cover the whole ball for balance sake so I went up to a 9.5 and they fit much better. Keep that in mind when shopping. It is easier to pull the strings to make it tighter than try to make the shoes bigger
