This comes closer to being a science rather than an art, and every teacher needs to follow the rules that this implies. This author also discusses what IS and what is NOT a Rubric. All of this provides a clearer understanding of rubrics.

Great book for getting everyone on the same page concerning rubrics. Especially helpful were clarifications between rubrics (designed for students too) and checklists or ratings guides.

Very good, easy to read, good quality information

Since I didn't get much training on these topics when I went through alternative teacher certification I have been doing a poor job at all three. This book has some very good info and samples that will help me greatly improve how I prepare and use these metrics.... This in turn will help my students better understand upfront expectations and will more effectively measure what they've learned and gaps I need to reteach.

Il traite très bien les grilles d'évaluation, comment les élaborer, les comprendre, les pièges à éviter, etc.Il m'a été très important dans l'élaboration de mes grilles d'évaluation pour l'enseignement supérieur, mais il s'appliquer très bien à tous les niveaux.
