Early on it's great for sensory play, demonstrating movement. Later on it can be used for peekaboo, a cape, a scarf, etc. The colors are beautiful and it has held up wonderfully despite being played with regularly. It has endured multiple spitups and teething periods. He loves the play silk, and frequently plays peek-a-boo with it. The fabric is a bit sheer, so it reinforces object permanence when playing peek-a-boo. I like to place the silk over his toy basket in the living room after cleaning up because it makes the play area look tidy.My son's birthday was just over two weeks ago, and while he enjoys playing with this silk it has not been played with roughly. I mention this because the silk already has a hole in it. It's just very delicate I suppose.
