Great value for a DIY central a/c repair
My central A/C unit suddenly stopped working during a heatwave, and I quickly came across this for a replacement after comparing symptoms to a faulty capacitor. The capacitor is sturdy and seemingly well built. Repairing my unit with this was very simple, and in less than 10 minutes, my A/C unit was working again. It has been holding strong for over a year now, and the value for this was huge. I saved so much money compared to calling in a technician for repairs. If my central a/c unitโs capacitor runs into any problems, I will have no problems coming back to this one.

Savior of my AC! BOJACK Dual Run Circular Start Capacitor Works Wonders!
I couldn't believe my luck when my air conditioner suddenly stopped blowing cold air during the hottest week of the year. Frustrated and desperate, I turned to online forums and stumbled upon a possible solution: a faulty capacitor. After some thorough research, I decided to give the BOJACK 45+5 uF Dual Run Circular Start Capacitor a shot โ and boy, am I glad I did! Matching the specs with my old capacitor and cross-referencing with the product details, I hit the order button with a mix of anticipation and skepticism. But as soon as I installed the BOJACK capacitor and fired up the AC, I was met with a rush of cool air that instantly reassured me that I had made the right choice. The 45/5 MFD capacity was an exact match for my old capacitor, and the ยฑ6% tolerance gave me the confidence that this was a quality replacement. The installation process was a breeze, even for someone like me who's not the most DIY-savvy. The clear labeling and instructions made the swap a straightforward task. Within moments, my air conditioner roared to life, and cold air started flowing through my home once again. It was like a breath of relief in the midst of a sweltering heatwave. The 370V/440VAC rating assured me that it could handle the demanding workload, and it did so with grace. The BOJACK capacitor truly saved the day โ and my sanity โ by bringing my AC back to life. This little powerhouse proved that sometimes, all it takes is a high-quality component to solve a big problem. If you find yourself in a similar situation, don't hesitate to give the BOJACK 45+5 uF Dual Run Circular Start Capacitor a shot. It's a game-changer that turned my frustrating AC ordeal into a success story. Kudos to BOJACK for a fantastic product! ๐ฌ๏ธโ๏ธ๐

Replacement AC capacitor for Thermal Zone CA, thumbs up
This replaced my TZALS series 13 capacitor on my central air. The original was longer and thinner but specs match. Had to adjust the holding strap a little due to the bigger diameter but all good and ac is back up and running. It is easy enough to replace. Turn off power by safety fuse by ac or from your fuse box. Make sure old capacitor is discharged. Take a pic of wiring on old, remembering Fan and Herm wires. A 10 minute job, under $20 part that will save you $500 minimum. Good product. Works.

Measure twice order once.
Like any of you who are reading the review, I have a similar story AC stopped working, hottest day of the year, partner decided to blame you, etc. So what do we do? We google what could be wrong, decide it's probably the capacitor, and go outside and check on the capacitor value. Perfect right? WRONG! You actually need to do 2 things not one (before you start though make sure you pull / turn off the fuse to the ac unit! This will keep you safe, additionally you should discharge the capacitor Just do this first, your life is most important). 1. Read the capacitor value. The capacitor value should be printed on the side. If you are here you already know your value, yet. 2. Measure the capacitor "Length and width". This is important. When i started looking around I realized there are multiple capacitor widths, and some of them is much "skinnier" than this one. My bracket has no real way to adjust the capacitor holding without "bending it" which won't hold it well, and feels frankly dangerous. You want the thing that is sending 440V of power to be securely fastened right? Don't "make do" get something that fits right. MEASURE the LENGTH and WIDTH! As to this capacitor, honestly I will withhold my judgement. It does work, but I dont' know about the quality yet. It does have the standard "poles" (2 for the fan, 3 for the HERM, 4 for common). It's also made in China. Honestly I would feel better about it if it was made in Mexico or USA, but the few made in the USA capacitors I found were the wrong size, and once again, DON'T MAKE DO.

Great capacitor
My AC unit started blowing non-cool air a couple of months ago and I didnโt think of it because it was winter. But now that summer was coming and weโve had a couple of hot days I thought it important to address the issue. I didnโt want to call the typical hvac specialist because unfortunately all they do is overcharge you to the sun and back for basic simple things. Prior to the non-cooling issue happening, I had the hvac specialist come and perform and routine inspection. They told me a lot of things needed to be fix. All in all, everything wouldโve cost $7k. I definitely didnโt want to pay so I said I would take care of it later. One of the issues the technician pointed out was that my run capacitor was almost out. Fast forward to recently, I decided that the likely culprit was the capacitor so I got a multimeter, watched a YouTube on how to evaluate and change it, and then installed it. It was relatively straightforward (with help from a friend who was a specialist via the phone). This capacitor is actually the same as the factory stock one I had in my system prior. I realized this when I decide to relocate the sticker so that it is visible once installed. You will see from the images I posted that the original sticker is visible. All in all, the install for good, the three prongs may be what I removed which made it easier the only thing was the color difference. So keep track of the wiring. Still there are indicators for HERM, C (common), And FAN so as long as you know which wire is what you are good. The total cost I spent is the cost of the capacitor ($17) plus the cost of the multimeter ($150), plus the cost of the short arm ratchet screwdriver ($10). The quoted fix by the technician for this specific issue (bad capacitor) was $700. If not for my need to get a good long lasting multimeter, the cost wouldโve been all under $50. The final values I got were 5 for the fan-common connection and 44.7 for the herm-common connection. These are inline with the 45/5 +-6%

Cheap insurance if you're handy.
I live in SWFL. It's warm here a lot of the time. Really warm. Two years ago, I had my HVAC unit's capacitor die on a Saturday afternoon in July. The closest replacement cap I could find was at an ACE Hardware twenty miles away. I'm fine, but overheated wife was getting more miserable by the minute, so off I go to buy the only 45/5 cap available on Saturday in the county. Ninety minutes later, our Goodman unit was once again blowing that sweet, cold air. Not wanting to be caught without a spare capacitor again, I bought this one on Amazon and put it on the shelf in the garage. Fast forward two years to today. It's just after five o'clock and I'm walking into the house after doing some maintenance on the sailboat motor, not a pleasant place in this heat. It's 95 degrees in the Florida sunshine and as I walk past the thermostat in the living room, I notice that it's a few degrees over the setpoint. No, that never happens, so I walk outside and place my hand over the condenser fan. The air blowing from the fan.......It's not hot. I can't hear the compresor running, either. Wife hasn't even noticed yet, but I know the A/C is broken. Checked the garage and this capacitor was just where I put it two years ago. I killed the power to the unit, discharged the old cap, swapped out the leads and secured the new one in place. Ten minutes max. Flipped the breaker, waited a few minutes and heard the lovely sound of our compressor kicking on....... and now I'm a hero. I tested the old cap, and the 45 side tested out at 40. The fan side was solid at 5. In the trash it goes. I'm back here at Amazon to buy another one to sit on that vacant place on the garage shelf. The one I bought from ACE only lasted two years. Hopefully, this one will last longer. If you know what you're doing, this part it the one most likely to fail and probably the easiest part to replace on your A/C unit. This part, purchased two years ago, probably saved us a $300 service call to replace that part. If you don't know what you're doing, trust me, you can get a nasty shock from these things. Call a service tech.
