Hugely disappointing
This product was hugely disappointing. I had purchased them many times whilst living in the States and was delighted to see them for sale here in the UK. They were expensive but I thought I would have a treat. Sadly they were not a treat at all. They were so salty as to render them inedible. Had I not purchased and eaten them many times before I would have assumed that was how they should be. Maybe the ‘recipe’ has changed, but they are not the enjoyable product I have purchased in the past.

If you’re looking for the perfect keto snack, Lowrey's Bacon Curls Microwave Pork Rinds are hard to beat. These come out tasting super clean. nothing like the typical bagged chips loaded with extra ingredients. Just simple, crispy pork rinds with the perfect touch of salt. I microwave them for about 1 minute and 40 seconds, and they puff up perfectly every single time. Fresh, hot, and way better than anything pre-packaged sitting on a shelf. I live a keto lifestyle, and this has become my go-to treat. I go through a couple bags a week without even thinking about it. They’re also great with queso if you want to mix things up a bit. If you’re doing keto or carnivore, these are an absolute must-have. Easy 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nice and fresh!

These bacon puffs are very tasty and fresh. Every one of them puffs and there is no waste. The store bought bacon puffs taste old and stale compared to these made fresh every time you want some puffs. I highly recommend.

Overview I missed crunchy snacks and most that are available are just different concoctions of cheese. I do eat the bagged ones from the store (when I can find them) but they don’t hold a candle to these. Amazing flavor and texture. Tips: Start at 90 seconds in your microwave and adjust up in 30 second increments until you find the ideal time for your microwave (they are not all the same) Too little time and you will have too many un “popped” bits…too much time and they lose some of their light crunchy texture. 2 minutes and 30 seconds work perfect for me… Pros • Delicious… • Convenient • Perfect Keto snack Cons • A little salty (but that can be a bonus on Keto) Recommendation – Would buy it again and would highly recommend. <---Click below if you found this review helpful--->

Many years ago I looked into making pork rings at home. As a child, I would help with making sausage, and smoking meat and fish. My grandparents were from the "old country" and my dad grew up on a farm plowing with a draft horse at one time. We would buy a hog from my Uncle and have it butchered by a local state inspected meat processor. Dad would have it butchered and split in two, and we would cut it up at home, wrap and freeze the meat. Dad attempted to fry some of the pork skin to make pork rinds. Of course what happened was like the hard rind you get on your fried bacon. The trick is to pressure cook the skins first, then deep fry them. The problem is that pressure cooking leaves too much water in them resulting in popping and splattering hot oil when placed in the deep fryer. A dangerous mess to be sure. Enter what I found online years ago, skins you could get ready for you to deep fry at home. I wanted to try them but never did. While looking for bulk pork finds on Amazon, because you can never have enough, I was hoping to maybe buy a 3 pound tin or something on that order, but when I discovered these that I could microwave at home and eat fresh, I ordered them immediately. Best ofcall they could arrive the same day, how about that. I followed the directions, microwave 1-2 minutes, stop when the bag stops expanding. Unlike popcorn in a bag, you can't listen for the popping to slow down, to know when to shut off the oven so I burnt the first bag. Lesson learned, I shortened the time by 15 seconds on the second bag, stopping when the bag seemed it's fullest. The result is fantastic and is my new favorite snack. I got the original version but will try the hot variety next. Probably will set up subscription for this one because making them fresh is even better than a bag from the store or machine.
