Classy and effective
Lights up every time, so long as you've filled it in the last 2 or so weeks. Big, beefy flame that lights anything you throw at it and doesn't singe tobacco like jet lighters tend to. Everything about these lighters are perfect from beginning to end, which is why Zippo has endured for so long. I'm never buying a disposable lighter again. Here's some tips for when you (hopefully) get your Zippo: >Before you fill it, take out all the rayon balls and repack it. Make the wick into an S shape with the balls packed in as tightly as before: this will give you a more consistent light and make your fills last longer. >Don't be stingy with fuel: counterintuitively, a full Zippo lasts longer than an empty or half-full Zippo because there's less room for your fuel to evaporate. >Keep it cool! The cooler your Zippo is, the less evaporation: store it on an outside coat/jacket pocket or cargo pocket instead of a back/side pocket.

Greaaat zippo!
Very good zippo lighter, so happy for it. Easy to ignite, the color looks better in real life, easy to handle, does what a zippo does. For the price, you get more than you pay for!

Beautiful
This really is a beautiful lighter. It has a nice feel to it that I really like. If you polish it with some never dull and then lightly with cornstarch it will surprise you how well it holds a shine.

Smaller than expected
This was much smaller than I expected. I’ve never owned a zippo but saw them when I was a young kid and this is very small. I guess I wish it was a bit larger. I haven’t looked into the mechanism but I also don’t have great feelings about the flint and wheel mechanism. Is this flint spring loaded like a brush on a brushed motor? If it’s not it should be. So we’ll see how that plays out. Overall though I’m happy with the look and being made in the USA.

Zippo, an American Classic
This lighter is classic Americana. The sound it makes when you open it, light it, and close it, is so recognizable and iconic. Its design is old and has lasted almost a century. However, it isn’t without its flaws. First and foremost it’s a lighter. It doesn’t stay filled with fuel for long . Mine is brass and has the vintage design. The difference is the squared off body. The top and bottom are completely flat. I personally like this design better than the modern rounded design. It has fairly decent wind resistance better than a bic lighter but not as good as a torch lighter. It’s about the size of a match box and takes maybe a tea spoon full of liquid lighter fluid at a time. It can stay filled for about a week or two depending on how you use it and the temperature it’s kept at. The more heat it’s exposed too the faster it will dry up. This isn’t the best kind of lighter to store away for emergency situations because the fluid will evaporate and will basically just be a flint wheel. I have recently purchased a rubber gasket cap to help keep fluid from drying out. The seal replaces the cotton barrier on the inside of the lighter in hopes of keeping the fluid from drying out. I’m not sure how well it works yet but it seems promising. When you open the lighter it will smell like lighter fluid and the fumes from the flame are definitely harsher than those of a bic lighter. This lighter does require maintenance over long periods of time like replacing the flint and the wick. You can store an extra flint or two on the inside of the lighter, which is a really nice feature. The wicks seem to last a long time and there is some extra length stored on the inside. If you find yourself needing to trim it you can pull some out of the existing wick and trim it as needed. The lighters finish will not stay shiny and chrome. Over time it will develop scratches and scuffs as seen in my photos. The first few scratches will make you upset but after some time the entire lighter will be covered in them as if it were a brushed finish. If that’s an issue for you, don’t get a shiny lighter. Brass is a soft metal and will scratch faster than the steel lighters. Although the lighter does have its flaws I still give it a perfect 5 star rating for a few reasons. First off it’s not a disposable item like we are use to in todays day and age. There’s no plastic waste and really no waste at all. This lighter will pretty much last forever. I have never thrown away a zippo lighter. There’s really nothing on it that can break. Unless it gets run over by a car it should last multiple lifetimes. If you love the look of Zippos but hate the fluid evaporation and fumes, you can always get a torch lighter insert and just use the outer shell of the lighter. That will basically modernize the lighter and correct its design flaws. A zippo lighter is a great ice breaker. If someone ever asks if you have a lighter, it will always spark up a conversation. Update: I got the polished brass lighter. It will scratch easily because it is a soft metal. The last two pictures are the most recent. The lighter looks like it came with the brushed finish. If scratches bother you, I would recommend getting the brushed finish from the start to avoid any frustration. Also the rubber gasket I installed works well and keeps the lighter filled for about 2-3 weeks instead of just 1 week with the cotton stopper.

Very sexy x2
This lighter is probably the best lookin one that you will own. It is simple but shiny , which makes it very unique in every way. The design is just my favorite because, it's more like a rectangle. It's performance is like any other. It has all the same physics. If you like playing with zippos this has a really good feel to it. The best part is the distinctive click. It makes a very sexy sound that will sooth your senses. I heard the sound on chrome lighters and they can't compare. The brass really makes a difference with the sound. I highly recommend getting this, because no one is going to have this, and it will stand out in your collection of lighters. If you're thinking about getting the chrome version, I suggest getting both, because these will add some class to your collection. Also if you like chucky movies, these lighters were like the ones that were used. For , all those who get Ontrac as a delivery carrier, I know you probably had seen horrible reviews, but their service is great. I ordered two of the chrome and brass vintage lighters. Ontrac delivered them in one day. The greatest part was that I got it at 11:30 am which is amazing. I used the free super saver for this. But it is mainly for the states near the west side.

The real deal.
Solid, quality, tank of a lighter. Easy to maintain, easy to service or rebuild. As it wears it develops a pretty handsome patina, too. You're looking at about a year of everyday use in the pics. It's probably the last lighter you're ever gonna need. I'd get it again if this one would just die, lol.

Support très épuré. Matériel solide et de bonne qualité. Juste penser à l’essence à Zippo.

Much cheaper than buying from Zippo themselves and works great when filled with lighter fluid!
